The Power of Experience Often in complex infrastructure projects, the scope is not well defined due to a lack of complete information and specific project requirements. Architects, engineers, and vendors are specialists in a single discipline and tend to limit their focus to their area of expertise. They may omit key project specifications simply because they do not look at the entire scope of the project. IBM provides a full range of multi-vendor services designed to address your communications and wireless systems project requirements, from initial planning through product installation, eliminating the need for expensive design changes and later rework.

Managing All Phases of Your Project Effective project management is crucial to the success of any major project. Managing and coordinating the schedule and work activities of various suppliers and subcontractors is a complex and time consuming process. The IBM project manager assumes total responsibility to verify that the entire project team understands their roles and responsibilities and the full scope of work.

A detailed project plan is developed including all schedules, processes, and dependencies. This plan is designed to control all aspects of the project, monitoring all activities such as project tracking, controlling, scheduling, and change management.

IBM project managers are trained on IBM’s project management methodology and have used it successfully on numerous engagements. In addition to their extensive training, IBM project managers have first-hand experience working on complex customer projects and have developed significant technical and industry skills.
