GENERAL NOTES

Situation

Gamelea Farm joins the A619 Chesterfield to Baslow Road and has excellent access with the national road networks via the M1 being close at junction 29. From the centre of Chesterfield pick up the A619 sign posted Baslow and Bakewell. Continue 3 ½ miles over the top of the hill at Wadshelf and after the crown of the hill pass the Beefeater and Premier Inn on the left the farm drive lies approximately 60 yards 1st on the left (opposite Cross Gates Farm). From Baslow and Bakewell pick up the A619 towards Chesterfield at the large roundabout at Baslow turn up hill towards Eastmoor. Continue for approximately 2 ¼ miles with the main moor lying on your right and the drive to Gamelea Farm lies 1st on the right after the large stone Peak District National Park sign (before the Premier Inn Beefeater on the right). ‘To the Sale’ and ‘Car Park’ signs will be erected on the morning of the sale.

Intending Purchasers not known to the Auctioneers must produce, prior to bidding, an acceptable Banker’s reference. Under new regulations introduced by the Banks, such references are now only obtainable by the Bank’s customers themselves and have to be obtained by them direct from their Bank and forwarded to us. Therefore, any customers who have no trading pattern record with the auctioneers must pay all VAT on the purchase price of goods on sale day. On receipt of all relevant export documentation and bills of laden (which must be received in the prescribed time limits), the auctioneers will then refund relevant VAT sums.

FOREWORD

The sale at Gamelea Farm and Nether Rod Knowle Farm arises as a result of the retirement of Mr Richard Gill Senior and a change in the business direction and many locals will know that virtually all of the cattle have been sold off the farms. There is a large range of machinery including 2 Kubota 4WD tractors which have both been fitted with Kubota loaders and have a large array of attachments. The Land Rover 90 was purchased new and has nearly new tyres fitted with the Ifor Williams Tri Axle Trailer in good order. There is a large quantity of cattle sundry items together with gates and troughs and purchasers should attend and bid at this very varied late season sale.
