SPEAKERS

Chris Anderson is responsible for new commercial and residential business opportunities that include new development, acquisition, management, and disposition within the Southwest Region of the United States. Mr. Anderson’s responsibilities include business strategy, master planning, deal-structuring, contract negotiations, government relations, and tenant relations.

Michelle Dodds is the Historic Preservation Officer for the city of Phoenix. She received her Masters of Urban and Regional Planning (MURP) from Florida State and has worked for the city of Phoenix since 1997 in both the planning and preservation departments. Prior to receiving her MURP, Ms. Dodds was an educator in Florida.

Heather N. Dukes has concentrated her law practice in zoning and land use planning. She has experience advising clients regarding zoning codes, statutory requirements, and case law applicable to various development proposals throughout the Valley and in some parts of northern Arizona.

John Graham joined Sunbelt Holdings in 1982 and became President in 1990. His background in asset management, development, and real estate investment provides a solid foundation of knowledge and experience in the real estate field. Under Mr. Graham’s direction Sunbelt has become a dominant force, in both community affairs and real estate activities.

Hugh L. Hallman previously worked with the law firm of Brown and Bain, then became a partner in the firm Colombo & Bonacci where he served until he established his own firm, Hallman and Affiliates, in 1999. As an economist, Mr. Hallman worked with colleagues at Stanford, Harvard, MIT, and the University of Chicago in analyzing markets and competition in various industries.

Michael J. Lafferty launched Lafferty Development, functioning as the Chief Executive Officer and President specializing in commercial/industrial build-to-suits, as well as mixed use commercial projects. Most recently, Mr. Lafferty became President of Blue Renewable Energy.

Christine Mackay is responsible for leading the Business Development Team for the City of Phoenix, including the areas of business attraction, business retention and expansion, small business and entrepreneurial efforts, downtown development, international, retail and workforce development.

Elliott D. Pollack iis CEO of Elliott D. Pollack and Company. He serves a broad range of clients in both the public and private sector ranging from law firms, utilities, banks, retailers, major service firms, and real estate related companies to states, counties, Native American communities, cities, and universities for both business and policy issues.

Wendy Riddell specializes in land use law and lobbying, advising and guiding such diverse and significant projects as Westgate, Honor Health campuses valley-wide, Parkman Ranch: a 160-acre industrial park in Buckeye, The Preserve at Goldfield Ranch: a 2,500 acre master planned community, and campuses for the Diocese of Phoenix, including Xavier College Preparatory.

Keri Silvyn has been practicing zoning and land use law in Southern Arizona for over 20 years. Her practice emphasizes sustainable development and appropriate and responsible growth. Her work focuses on advising private developers and local government on application of zoning codes, compliance with state statutes, compliance with current land use case law, and effective legal public/private partnerships.

Alan Stephenson is Director of the Planning and Development Department, which ensures that safe and legal structures are built in Phoenix and guides the physical development of the city. The Development Division reviews and approves all public and private construction projects along with issuing building permits for everything from single-family homes to high rise development.

Dan Weinman is the System Vice President of Strategy and Planning for Banner Health. Mr. Weinman is responsible for the development and execution of Banner Health’s Strategic Plan and the development of strategic relationships and partnerships supporting a growth agenda.
