Dear Representative of the Media,

It is our pleasure to introduce One Green Street, an organic lifestyle destination retailer. The Grand Opening of One Green Street is scheduled for January 23, 2010 at 5160 Buffalo Speedway, Houston, TX. 77098. The store launch is touted to be one of the most antici-pated in the nation. Setting the precedence for green retailing, the store will be the first LEED certified retail environment in Houston, Texas.

Proprietors David and Sherry Eichberger have hand picked over seventy socially responsi-ble vendors that include beauty, fashion and home accessories. The featured eco- friendly lines include EcoSmart Fire, Natura Mattress, W3LL People, Allot to Say, LoomState Organ-ics, and a customized line by Project Runway participant, Alison Dahl.

The savvy retailer will have a full friendly e-commerce counterpart to their existing brick-and-mortar store that will launch early February 2010. Whether shopping at the retail environment or shopping online, the animated shopping assistant, DOT ( Do One Thing) will entertain, educate and inform the guests of One Green Street how to shop green. The series of eco-icons will guide shoppers to choose treasures that are organic, fair trade, recycled, vintage or handmade.

Within the electronic press kit you will find a series of documents regarding One Green Street. We hope to inspire you to share the message of One Green Street: “Start Where You Are and Grow From Here.”

About Sherry Eichberger

In a way, Sherry Eichberger has always seen it. From her earliest days in Wayne, Michigan till now; from entrepreneur to actress; devoted daughter to award-winning professional achievement; hours of education and public service; all the roads she has traveled have brought her to her most important address: One Green Street. “Maybe it was a vision of some kind,” she says. “I had 24 hours of sleeplessness, and finally I fell asleep. The minute I woke up I had it. The whole One Green Street con-cept, the difference it could make in the world, how the building would be laid out, everything.” Sherry believes the seeds of One Green Street were planted when she was in her 30’s. “Two strapping and otherwise healthy looking men in my neighborhood contracted leukemia and died suddenly, leaving behind a wife and young children. That was traumatic and it made me wonder what I could do, if anything, to stop that from happening to me and others I loved.” And, thus began a journey that included hours and hours of research and a remark-able discovery: “We take things into our bodies and put things on our bodies and in our homes that are killing us,” she says with some sadness in her voice. “One Green Street will change that, and offer education and products that will help people live longer, healthier lives, and play offense against the things that harm us, many of which we don’t even know about or understand until somebody helps us. We will be the resource to help rectify that.” Those who know Sherry know this about her: when she sets her mind to something she does it. “I can’t just dream dreams, I have to make them happen,” she says. Re-cently, she saw the building that will house the first of what she hopes will be many One Green Streets around the country. “I stood in the room, looked at actual prod-ucts we will carry, and I even thought I heard the faint laughter of future customers having a good time in our place.” Visionaries are like that. When Epcot was opened after Walt Disney’s death, someone made the comment to Walt’s wife that is was a shame that Walt couldn’t have seen this. “He HAS seen it,” said Mrs. Disney. “He saw it years ago. It wouldn’t be here if he hadn’t.” Sherry has seen it, too.
