Flexible Domain ArchitectureToaddressdifferentorganizations, theONMSidatamodelisbasedondomains. The user can create a collection ofONMSi objects such as OTU, P2Pnetwork,PON,fiber link, fibersectionand subdomains.Thesameobject canbelongtomorethanonedomain.Userpermissionscanbecreatedperdomain.For example, a top-down regional or-ganization may use regional domainswhereasadark-fiberprovidermayusecustomerorlinkdomains.Largefield-servicemaintenance teams can createprivileges so that users can access alltheOTUsexistinginanetwork.
Easy Integration with Legacy SystemsWith complex IT environments, integratingatestsystemisoftenakeysuccess factor for a project. ONMSican be provided with two differentinterfaces: SNMP and web services(XML over HTTP). This flexibilityensuresintegrationwithOSS,GIS,andotherITback-officesystems.
ONMSi alarm management is alsocompliant with OSS-J initiatives andITU-X733.
