WELCOME MESSAGE

Dear Potential Participants,

It is our pleasure to invite you to participate in the 12th IDF-WPR Congress and 10th AASD Scientific Meeting, to be held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, from 22-25 November 2018.

This will be the occasion when leading professionals, practitioners, researchers and experts in diabetes treatment will gather to update, share knowledge and speak on issues pertaining to the disease - its prevention, management and control. Attended by experts and top medical professionals, the Congress has, through the years, gained a solid reputation as a viable regional platform for the exchange of the latest in information and knowledge on improving outcomes.

We would be delighted to have your presence at this Congress to hear what world leading experts and researchers have to share about the advances in diabetes. This Congress highlights the theme “Enhancing Knowledge & Skills - Transforming Diabetes Care” which focuses on the latest advances in the prevention and treatment of diabetes. The Congress provides three days of lectures and presentations related to the management of diabetes complications, as well as explores new ideas and research on a global scale. This is the perfect platform for leading scientists, practitioners, health care experts and care providers to gain knowledge within the respective field and also encourage new research ideas around the globe.

There are many interesting topics and symposia which focus on areas such as cardiovascular risk and diabetes, nutrition therapy in gestational diabetes, diabesity, diabetes technology and education and diabetes. The Congress programme includes stimulating debates and numerous opportunities for regional participant to meet and network.

We are honoured to host this important Congress in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, in 2018. Malaysia is a well-known tourism destination, with its multi-cultural attractions in food, its people and their warm hospitality.
