Lisa is also the founder of Pearl Alliance, an organization with which we have partnered for several years. Pearl Alliance is dedicated to putting an end to human trafficking world-wide. Original treasures our friendship with Lisa, and we are so excited to have her here with us for this conference!

We were introduced to Nancy’s ministry a few years ago and knew right away that we wanted to invite her to be part of Original! Nancy is an author, international speaker, and the founder of Mercy Ministries. Mercy Ministries provides opportunities for young women facing life-controlling issues to experience God’s unconditional love, forgiveness, and life-transforming power. Through God’s blessings, Mercy Ministries now has locations across the United States and around the world, including Australia, the United Kingdom, and Peru. This year, in addition to the financial support we continue to pledge, we launched our first

Original Missions Trip. Ladies journeyed to Thailand where they witnessed, firsthand,

the horrors of the trafficking industry and had incredible opportunities to lend a

helping hand to those in need. We will continue to stand up against human trafficking and loudly say:

“Pure religion and undefiled before God the Father is this, to visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction...”(James 1:27) The Rockford EMPOWER Initiative has responded to this directive and is seeking “To empower and minister to single parents (with a specific focus on single moms, widows, and military wives) and their children by partnering with them through the specific challenges of life in a single-parent household.” This year, we are going to partner with Rockford EMPOWER and we are asking every conference attendee to bring as much up-to-date and gently used, or new, women’s and children’s clothing and shoes of all sizes as you can fit in your bags! Soon after the conference we will set up a shopping mall and a scrumptious banquet for these amazing women. They’ll be celebrated and given the opportunity to shop through YOUR donations! It will be an unforgettable expression of God’s love.
