Mariana’s autobiography I was born on May 1st, 1998 in Cali/Colombia on the hospital of

Imbanaco, at 10:15 am. At the next day was my baptism and all the family was there. My health was well so my mother decided to take me to the house, and everyone was waiting for me there with a lot of gifts and surprises. I have an older sister name Daniela that lived with me a few years and then she went to Bogotá to study in Los Andes University. My parents’ names are Luz Elena Gordillo and Hernando Zuluaga; they are the owners of a animal’s food factory. I lived on a house near the Pasoancho and I loved to went to the 14 supermarket with my mom and my invaluable nanny, that I called PePe, I was very happy in my house because all the family members care and loved me, I had one of the little’s room of it decorated with dolls and toys but the important thing was that I was on a excellent family.

I still been a baby, but the time passed very quickly. I ate my first solid food on October 20 1998; I started to crawl on December of 1998 and to walk on April 1st of 1999. I was growing very fast, and everyone told me that I was a very intelligent girl and that I was developing my abilities very fast.

At my three years I entered to the nursery named “Taller de Anik”, and I made new friends, learn different activities, like feed the animals and how to speak better. That same year I went to see my first movie and to the circus in Tulua city, there where my grandparents lived and had a farm where I could enjoy all the animals and the pool. On 2004 my parents saw that I like all the animals but specially rabbits, so they decided to buy me one, and I named it “Tomatico”, so I was very happy with all that was happening in my life.

I was already in a bilingual school, called “Bennett School”, and I was very happy on it, I learned to write my name perfectly, said the vowels and the ABC, I had new friends and I began to have homework. My mother and my sister support me a lot in this time because my life was starting to change, and I needed someone who help me to do some things. I began to grow and to have a lot of experiences that market my life, I saw the sea for 1st time, the snow, and all the parks of Disney, I share a lot with my family during weekend time and with all my cousins. One of the things and activities that I liked to do was to cook with my friends and my mom, swim on the pool and ride the horses that I had.

On 2006 a lot of things happened to me and my life started to be very interesting in every aspect. I was one of the best students of my class (1 grade), and each teacher talked very good things about me, I loved the way my school was and how people treated me there. We made a lot of activities like the “interclases” and didactic games that resulted excellent for the entire group. That year my family my family and I went to Ecuador and it was a beautiful place, I went to diverse hotels and visit different places of history, handicraft, and shopping. I stayed 5 days on the Hiltons hotel with my cousin Manuela, who is a very concerted person and oblige me to go to spa, special pools and different things to relax, it, was a very good experience. When I came back to school I entered to 2nd grade, and I meet one of my favorite teachers Monica Rodriguez, that on the 2 years that I saw class with her was very special with me.

The years passed and I entered to 3rd grade 2007-2008 and there was

where my problems began to occur. My parents and my sister began to plan all about her university and what she was going to study, but they don’t take into account that this conversation were affecting me, so I started to cry all the time, my notes decreased and my relationship with my family was very bad. T. Monica noticed that

and she decided to take me to a psychology that helped me understand that my sister was already a big person and that she needed to take her own decisions. On my birthday May 1st of 2008 I made a pijamada with a lot of friends and I had a lot of fun, with all the things I prepared for that day, but the thing that worried me was, what I was going to do the next year without my sister.

When 3rd grade finished and I entered to fourth grade with T. Ana Bolena I went with my family to San Andres Island and I stayed there during 10 long days. This place was marvelous and beautiful I enjoy every moment I stayed there, but I had to come back here because I needed to go to the school. Fourth grade was one of my best years at school, I learned to be tolerant, to have patience and be respectful. On the ceremony of the last day of classes I won a very important academic prize “The matricula de honor” That recognized my effort, work and motivation during all the year. I tanked all the teachers, principals and all the people from school community for giving me this special honor.

Finally in 2010 I entered to fifth grade, were I have a lot of friends and excellent teachers that I consider very good in their work, with them I have learned very important things and interesting topics in each subject.

Page 7: Our autobiographies

All the children in my class are very intelligent, and T. Angel Watler, our group director think that we are the best, we do excellent presentations, and our notebooks are very organized but sometimes we began to behave very bad, and make him get upset, but I think that he scold us because he loves us and he wants the best for us. During these periods my notes had been excellent, but sometimes I get a little stressed because of all the work we have to do, but I know that all of this is for preparing us for high school. Finally I want to say that during all these years my life has been excellent, in every single aspect and the time that I was in primary was very good. I want to close this steppe of my life sharing with all my friends, and recognizing that all this effort I did, has been useful for something.

Valentinas autobiography

My name is Valentina Rivas; I was born in November 18th, 1997 in “Santiago de Cali hospital”. After 6 months I got baptize in “Divino niño” church on May of 1998.

When I was already 11 months I learn to walk, so I was able to play with my brothers that are: Daniel and Diana. My sister and me are not that close because I pulled her hair all the time. But my brother was little so he likes to play a lot with me and he dragged me in a cooking pot by all the floor of the house. In that year my family and me went to “San Andres Island” and have shakiras on all my hair that was so funny.

When I had 1 year the first word I said was “ma”. But also I can say: titi, naniel, Diana, papa, and abela. In the complex I met one girl name Lina that liked to play a lot with me and I was like his doll.

When I was 2 years old I learn to say when I want to go to the bathroom. I also take all the things that I found and that I can take. All the time I like a lot to get under the chairs or tables of the house.

In my house I live with my parents, my brother, my sister, and my grandmother of mother family.

When I have 4 years old I enter to nursery on Bennett school. At that time we had a dog named Bengi it was a French poodle and she was so little and beautiful, but she was a little angry dog and sometimes do not like to me charge her and she bite me.

At my 5 years I liked a lot to go to the park with my mom and we went all the days after school to it. I liked to take the telephone and start talking like if there is someone. My sister likes to wear me with my mom’s or hers clothes, and she like to brush my hair.

My mom and my ant tried to teach me how to swim but I don’t learn, so later Valentina Garcia teach me how to swim in her complex pool and I learn a lot of things.

In 2006 at my 8 years I was already in 2nd grade, at that time many things happened but one of them and the most important was that in that year I win the Bennett profile.

I have 2 cousins of 12 years old one is named John and Milton, I don’t like to spend many time with them because they stress me a lot and make me get angry. They fight all the time with each other.

When I was 9 years old something terrible happened, Bengi got sick like for a few time and one day it died and I cried a lot.

In those years my brother started to grow and bother me too much. But my relationship with my sister was excellent so I talked a lot with her.

In that Christmas I want another dog and my parents gave it to me, and it was equal to Bengi so I named it Luna, it was a beautiful dog. She is so funny and likes to play a lot and is to loving.

In 2008 I entered to 4th grade it was a good year and I liked it a lot. My brother and I have a good relationship a we understood each other.
