Red 1: Best practice is spread effectively through work with other schools and providers of community sport and by involvement in national PE and sport networks.

Red 2: Pupils think for themselves and take initiative in the organization and completion of tasks; leadership skills are evident and are actively encouraged.

Red 3: Rigorous lesson monitoring, regular staff training and the sharing of best practice have eradicated weaknesses, adding greater consistency to teaching and learning.

Red 4: Pathways from school to community sport and physical activity exist.

Red 5:Young leaders, from one or both key stages, are used in lessons and organize sport and play for others during lunchtime or after school.

Newman collegiate and other surrounding school meet regularly as a collegiate to share best practise. Work closely with St Margaret Ward and other schools within the Collegiate to host events and clubs. Providers of community sport- a sport club brochure has been created to advertise clubs in the community to extend children’s learning. More competitions have been enterer therefore interest is higher- it is more probable that children will seek out clubs.

Date set for PE observations to take place CPD 1:1 with specialist PE teacher- Impact measured by Observations Teachers are able to identify and improve their weakness when working with

specialist PE teacher. Set a date for staff teaching (Discuss with staff what they will benefit from) Staff audit sheets show increase in staff confidence and subject knowledge.

‘Activ8’ The Activ8 club is all set up

and raring to begin in Summer 2!

These children will be hand-picked and will work together to get fitter!!!!!

‘Sports Stars’ Our ‘Sports Stars’ are a

group of pupils who have shown an extra exciting level of potential! This group works hard to get even better at clubs and Special events through the Collegiate.
