.MISSION APPEAL Next weekend, November 8, we will have a special collection for Father Antony's diocese in India, the Diocese of Sivagangai. The money collected will be used to help the orphans and poor students who study there. You may use the yellow envelope that is in your envelope box if you wish and place it in the separate basket in the back of church. Make all checks out to Our Lady of Hope. Please be as generous as possible!

MASS FOR ALL SOULS will be celebrated on Monday, November 2, at 9:00 am at St. Ann Parish in Santee for anyone wishing to attend.

Annual Bake Sale Our Lady of Hope Woman’s Club will have their annual Bake Sale this November, but it will take on a new format because of the pandemic. We will be taking “Orders Only” and limiting the number of types of baked goods. All orders must be given no later than November 15th and orders may be picked up after Mass on November 21st or 22nd. If you are unable to come to Mass, baked goods will be delivered. Please help support our Women’s Club by ordering from the following popular items:

Cinnamon Buns @ $8.00 for a tray of 6 to 8, Pumpkin Bread @ $4.50 per loaf, or Banana Nut Bread @ $4.50 per loaf.

Today we celebrate the feast of all the unknown saints who are now in heaven. The Church reminds us that sanctity is within everyone’s reach. Through the communion of saints we help one another achieve sanctity. In the early days the Christians were accustomed to solemnize the anniversary of a martyr’s death for Christ at the place of martyrdom. In the fourth century, neighboring dioceses began to interchange feasts, to transfer relics, to divide them, and to join in a common feast. Gregory III (731-741) consecrated a chapel in the Basilica of St. Peter to all the saints and fixed the anniversary on 1 November.

Almighty ever-living God, by whose gift we venerate in one celebration the merits of all the Saints, bestow on us, we pray, through the prayers of so many intercessors, an abundance of the reconciliation with you for which we earnestly long. Through our Lord, Jesus Christ..
