On behalf of the Morgan Club of Switzerland you are welcomed to its 40th anniversary. The town Stresa and the Borromean Isles give a perfect outline and frame for our festivities.

On the 17th of June 1977, 53 Swiss Morgan owners founded the MCS. Since then this club has grown up to 220 members. Motor sport as well as fellowhip and social life are being cultivated ever since (First and Last of the Real Sports Cars!).Today’s high number of participating Morgan owners from all over Europe are also proof of the inspiring Morgan spirit around the globe.

We do hope, of course, that all of you will take part in some of the activities of our programme. At the time of producing these notes I can only HOPE for an excellent wea-ther forecast ... !

Nous vous adressons une très cordiale bienvenue aux festivi-tés du 40e anniversaire du MCS. La ville de Stresa, sur la rive du lac Majeur, ainsi que les célèbres îles Borromées, est un lieu parfait pour le déroulement de nos festivités.

Le 17 Juin 1977, date de la fondation du MCS, 53 propriétaires de Morgan ont été dénombrés. Aujourd’hui nous sommes 220! La camaraderie, les rencontres animées et le sport que constitue la conduite d’une Morgan (First and Last of the Real Sports Cars!) sont des caractéristiques toujours bien vivantes. Même aujourd’hui, l’importante participation des «mordus» de Morgan, venant de toute l’Europe, dénote la pérennité de cet esprit.

Le programme de ces jours de fête vous offre tant de possibi-lités que chacun devrait y trouver son plaisir. Au moment de rédiger ces lignes, je veux d’ores et déjà nous souhaiter une météo très favorable.

Im Namen des MCS heisse ich Euch zu unserer 40-Jahrfeier ganz herzlich willkommen. Mit Stresa und seinen weltbekann-ten Borromäischen Inseln haben wir einen würdigen Rahmen für die Feierlichkeiten gefunden.

Was vor 40 Jahren, am 17. Juni 1977, durch 53 begeisterte Morganfahrer als MCS ins Leben gerufen wurde, hat sich über die Jahrzehnte zu einem dynamischen Club mit 220 Mit- gliedern entwickelt. Kameradschaft, Geselligkeit und Motor-sport haben all die Jahre geprägt (First and Last of the Real Sports Cars!). Auch heute zeugt die rege Teilnahme von Mor-ganisten aus ganz Europa für genau diesen Geist.

Das Festtagsprogramm bietet für jeden Geschmack etwas Pas-sendes. Bleibt zum Zeitpunkt der Niederschrift dieser Zeilen nur zu hoffen, dass das Wetter sich auch von seiner guten Seite zeigt ... !

GESCHICHTE «STRESA»

Stresa ist ein bekannter italienischer Kurort mit ca. 5000 Ein-wohnern, der sich auf 200 m Seehöhe am Lago Maggiore im Golf von Borromeo befindet und einen atemberaubenden Blick auf die Hauptattraktion der Region bietet: die Borromäischen Inseln. Die wunderschöne Landschaft, zahlreiche architekto-nische Schätze und das milde Klima machen Stresa zu einem der beliebtesten Reiseziele in Italien. Die Borromäischen In-seln mit ihren eindrucksvollen Palästen und Ziergärten sind ein wahrer Genuss für das Auge. Luxuriöse Villen und opulente Hotels im Jugendstil säumen die Ufer des Sees, die zu einem erholsamen Spaziergang einladen. Bereits im 19. Jahrhundert war Stresa für seine gepflegte Atmosphäre und vornehmen Gäste bekannt, und auch heute noch lockt der Kurort mit ei-nem umfangreichen Angebot an Kultur- und Musikveranstal-tungen sowie mit internationalen Konferenzen zahlreiche Besucher an.

GeschichteStresa wird erstmals gegen Ende des ersten Jahrtausends in historischen Dokumenten erwähnt, als der Ort nicht mehr als eine Siedlung einiger weniger Fischer und Bauern war. Im Mittelalter wurde Stresa zum Lehnsgut der Herren von Castel-lo und Visconti, doch erst unter der aristokratischen Familie Borromeo aus Mailand entstanden die eindrucksvollen Gebäu-de, die das Stadtbild von Stresa prägen. Im Jahr 1441 kamen erste Teile des Landes in den Besitz der Borromeos – ab 1653 vereinten sie die gesamte Region unter ihrer Herrschaft. Im 16. und 17. Jahrhundert gaben die Borromeos den Bau zahlrei-cher Paläste auf den Inseln Bella und Madre in Auftrag. Im Jahr 1719 schliesslich kam Stresa in österreichischen Besitz, bevor 1748 das Herrscherhaus der Savoyen das Zepter übernahm. Am Anfang des 19. Jahrhunderts entwickelte sich Stresa zu einem bekannten Touristenziel, und es entstanden einige der

beeindruckendsten Villen, wie etwa die Villa Pallavicino und die Villa Vignolo. Mit der Eröffnung des Simplontunnels 1906 wurde Stresa zum internationalen Reiseziel. Züge der Strecke London – Paris – Mailand machten Halt im Bahnhof von Stresa, und Reisende und Schriftsteller aus ganz Europa kamen, um die Vorzüge von Stresa und des Lago Maggiore zu geniessen. Mit zunehmendem Bekanntheitsgrad von Stresa strömten im-mer mehr Gäste in den Ort. Heute verzeichnet Stresa pro Jahr Hunderttausende Besucher aus der ganzen Welt.

SehenswürdigkeitenEin Aufenthalt in Stresa ist ideal, um Erholung, Kultur, atem-beraubende Landschaften und den Charme der Belle Époque zu geniessen. Von Stresa aus ist es nicht weit bis zu den Bor-romäischen Inseln, die reich an künstlerischen, historischen und botanischen Schätzen sind. Auf den Inseln Bella und Madre stehen luxuriöse Paläste mit exotischen Gärten, in de-nen Pfaue, Papageien und Fasane frei herumlaufen und an fer-ne Länder erinnern.

HotelsDer Hotel-Boom in Stresa begann in der zweiten Hälfte des 19. Jahrhunderts mit der Errichtung des luxuriösen Grand Hotels des Iles Borromées im Jahr 1861, gefolgt von zahlrei-chen weiteren Hotels, die an den Ufern des Sees wie Pilze aus dem Boden schossen. Zu Beginn des 20. Jahrhunderts eröffne-te ein weiteres Art-Nouveau-Hotel: das Regina Palace (1908 ). Im Laufe des letzten Jahrhunderts stieg die Zahl der Hotels kontinuierlich an, um dem steigenden Andrang internationa-ler Besucher gerecht zu werden. Mittlerweile bieten die über 50 Hotels verschiedener Kategorien und Grösse Unterkunft für bis zu 3300 Gästen.

La beauté du paysage, la richesse architecturale et la douceur du climat qui la caractérisent en font une des princi-pales destinations touristiques en Italie. Les îles Borromées avec leurs admirables palais et jardins offrent un spectacle inoubliable pour tous les amateurs des belles choses.Les villas cossues et les hôtels de prestige en style liberty longent l’élégante promenade sur les rives du lac, endroit idéal pour profiter d’agréables ballades. Des congrès et de nombreux évènements culturels et musicaux animent la vie de Stresa, célèbre depuis le XIXe siècle pour son ambiance raf-finée et son tourisme d’élite.

HistoireStresa apparaît dans des documents historiques peu avant l’an 1000 lorsqu’elle était une petite commune de pêcheurs et de paysans. A l’époque médiévale, elle fut le fief des no-bles di Castello et de la famille Visconti, mais c’est unique-ment par la suite, sous la domination de la famille patricienne milanaise Borromeo qu’ont démarré les travaux à qui elle doit aujourd’hui sa célébrité. En 1441, la famille Borromeo obtint une partie du territoire et deux siècles plus tard (1653) toute la citée était sous leur règne. C’est au cours des XVIe et XVIIe siècle que la famille Borromeo ordonne la construction des célèbres palais et des jardins sur l’Isola Bella et l’Isola Madre. En 1719 Stresa passa sous le contrôle des Autrichiens, et par la suite, devint propriété de la Maison de Savoie. Elle devient un lieu de villégiature prisé dès le XIXe siècle, époque où s’érigent des palaces majestueux parmi lesquels la Villa Pallavicino et la Villa Vignolo. Les grands mouvements internationaux ont commencé après l’ouverture en 1906 du tunnel ferroviaire du

Simplon qui a permis à la gare de Stresa d’accueillir les trains de la ligne Londres – Paris – Milan: voyageurs et écrivains de toute l’Europe célébrèrent les merveilles de Stresa et du lac Majeur, contribuant ainsi à sa réputation et favorisant le flux touristique. Actuellement, Stresa accueille chaque année des centaines de milliers de touristes du monde entier.

A VisiterStresa est l’endroit idéal pour passer un agréable séjour sous le signe de la détente et de la culture, dans un cadre enchan-teur et évocateur des ambiances de la Belle Epoque. Au cours du siècle dernier, l’offre des structures réceptives s’est amplifiée pour accueillir un nombre toujours plus important de visiteurs internationaux. Actuellement, plus de 50 hôtels, toutes catégories et dimensions confondues, composent ce complexe qui peut recevoir jusqu’à 3300 personnes.

The famous town of Stresa (Italy, 5000 inhabitants, 200 m above sea level) enjoys a splendid location on Lake Maggiore in the Gulf of Borromeo, where it overlooks the eponymous islands, the main attraction in the region. Its beautiful coun-tryside, architectural gems and mild climate combine to make Stresa one of the most popular tourist attractions in Italy. The Borromean Islands, with their stunning palaces and orna-mental gardens, are an unmissable destination for aesthetes.Luxury villas and opulent Art Nouveau hotels line the elegant lakeside, which is ideal for a tranquil stroll. Since the late 19th century Stresa has been renowned for its sophisticated atmo-sphere and genteel visitors, and today still enjoys an impres-sive roster of cultural, musical and meeting events.

HistoryStresa first appears on historical documents just before the end of the first millennium, when it was a small community of fishermen and peasants. During the Middle Ages, the town was a fiefdom of the lords of Castello and Visconti, but it was the Borromeo family-part of the Milanese aristocracy – who subsequently ruled the region and added the magnificent buil-dings that have made Stresa famous. In 1441, the Borromeos obtained part of the territory and by 1653 the entire district was reunited under their rule. Throughout the 16th and 17th centuries, the Borromeos commissioned palaces to be built on the islands of Bella and Madre. Stresa passed into Austri-an hands in 1719, before coming under the rule of the House of Savoy in 1748. The town began to achieve its renown as a tourist destination at the beginning of the 19th century, when glamorous villas such as the Villa Pallavicino and Villa Vignolo were built. In 1906 the opening of the Simplon Tunnel heral-ded the start of widespread international travel. Trains on the London – Paris – Milan line began to call at Stresa station, and

travellers and writers from all over Europe came to sing the praises of Stresa and Lake Maggiore, spreading their fame far and wide and enticing an ever larger number of people to visit. Every year, Stresa now welcomes hundreds of thousands of tourists from across the globe.

Place to seeA visit to Stresa is the ideal way to blend relaxation and cul-ture in an enchanting setting that evokes the atmosphere of the Belle Époque. From Stresa it is easy to reach the three Borromean Islands, which are steeped in artistic, historical and botanical appeal. On the islands of Bella and Madre there are sumptuous palaces and rare plant gardens where peacocks, parrots and pheasants roam wild against an exotic backdrop reminiscent of faraway lands.

HotelsThe hotel boom in Stresa in the second half of the 19th century was sparked by the construction of the luxury Grand Hotel des Iles Borromées in 1861, the first of many hotels to spring up around the lake. By the beginning of the 20th century, Stresa‘s tourist success led another famous Art Nouveau hotel, the Regina Palace, to open (1908), followed by many others. Over the course of the last century, the number of establishments continued to grow to meet the demands of an ever-increa-sing number of international visitors. There are currently over 50 hotels of various types and sizes in Stresa, with accommo-dation for up to 3300 people.

Das Jahr 1977 und der Morgan Club Schweiz – ein kleiner Rückblick

Man schreibt das Jahr 1976, als der begeisterte Schwei-zer MORGAN-Fahrer Linus Flüeli in der «Automobil Revue» einen Aufruf an Interessierte für die Gründung eines Morgan Clubs startet. Ein Team von vier Gleichgesinnten (Linus Flüeli, Frank Friedli, Carmelo Pizzo und Dominik Zweifel) traf die Vorbereitungen, und am 17. Juni 1977 fand die Gründungsversammlung auf dem Balmberg bei Solothurn statt. Insgesamt 53 Mitglieder schrieben sich ein, eine Zahl die sich bis dato auf 220 Mitglieder entwickelt hat.

1977 war in der Automobilszene auch das Jahr des Rover SD1, welcher zum Auto des Jahres 77 gekürt wurde. Porsche lancierte mit dem Spitzenmodell 928 erstmalig einen Sportwagen mit Frontmotor und knapp 240 PS. Der VW-Golf , als Nachfolger zum Käfer produ-ziert, entwickelte sich zum meistverkauften Auto in Europa.

In der Politik dominierte die RAF die Schlagzeilen im so-genannten deutschen Herbst. Erinnert sei an die geschei-terte Entführung der Lufthansa-Maschine «Landshut» und die subsequenten Selbstmorde der Baader / Ensslin und Raspe-Terroristen. In den USA trat Jimmy Carter sei-ne Präsidentschaft an.

Im Kino schaute man sich den neusten Bond Film «Der Spion, der mich liebte» an. Damals noch mit dem Protagonisten Roger Moore. Auch die Kinofassung

des Musicals «The Rocky Horror Picture Show» war ein Riesenerfolg. Bei MORGAN in Malvern Link erhielt der Verkaufsschlager +8 im Jahre 1977 erstmalig ein Fünf-ganggetriebe. Ferner erhielt der +8 den neuesten 155 -PS- Motor, was dem Auto phantastische Beschleunigungs- und Höchstgeschwindigkeitswerte bescherte. Getrie-be und Motor waren identisch mit dem Innenleben des Rover 3500 Fliessheck /hatchback.

Im Jahre 2017 feiert der MCS sein 40-jähriges Beste-hen, und der Club kann auf spannende Jahrzehnte mit stetig wachsenden Mitgliederzahlen zurückschauen. Myriaden von Vereinsanlässen, Ausflügen und Treffen, stets geprägt von Geselligkeit und Freundschaftlich-keit, sind in den schönsten Gegenden der Schweiz und in den Nachbarländern durchgeführt worden. Die 10-, 25- und 30-Jahr-Jubiläen waren wunderbare Feste und so wird sich auch dieser 40. Geburtstag würdig in die Erfolgsgalerie einreihen.

Besonders bedanken wir uns an dieser Stelle bei allen MORGAN-Freunden, die aus ganz Europa nach Stresa gekommen sind um mit uns zu feiern.

Alle sind wir vereint in der Faszination für ein Auto, das so ausschaut, als wäre es vor 60 Jahren gebaut worden, in Wirklichkeit aber immer noch wie zu «Grossvaters» Zeiten gebaut wird.

L’année 1977 et le Morgan Club Suisse – une petite rétrospective

C’est en 1976 qu’un conducteur enthousiaste de Mor-gan, Linus Flüeli, mettait une annonce dans l’ «Automo-bil Revue» pour trouver des amis intéressés à fonder un Club Morgan Suisse. Un team de quatre personnes (Linus Flüeli, Frank Friedli, Carmelo Pizzo et Dominik Zweifel) animées par la même passion s’occupaient des prépara-tifs et le 17 juin 1977 l’assemblé constitutive avait lieu au Balmberg près de Soleure. 53 personnes s’inscrivirent comme membres, un nombre qui a évolué à 220 jusqu’à aujourd’hui.

Sur le plan auto l’année 1977 a vu le lancement de la Rover SD1 qui devenait «l’automobile de l’année» par la suite. Porsche lançait son modèle top 928 avec 240 ch, pour la première fois avec un moteur avant. Volkswagen lançait la «Golf» pour succéder à la «Beetle» et ce modèle s’avérait comme bestseller européen cette année là.

En Allemagne c’était la FAR (fraction armée rouge) qui causait de grandes turbulences. On se rappellera le détournement raté de l’avion «Landshut» de la Luft- hansa à Mogadiscio et les suicides qui s’en suivirent des terroristes Baader / Ensslin et Raspe. Aux Etats-Unis c’était Jimmy Carter qui commençait sa présidence.

A Malvern Link MORGAN équipait son bestseller +8 avec une boîte à 5 vitesses. En plus la +8 recevait le nouveau moteur Rover avec 155 chevaux ce qui donnait une accélération et vitesse formidables à la voiture. Le mo-teur et la boîte de vitesse étaient identiques avec ceux de la Rover 3500 à hayon.

Cette année le MCS fête ses 40 ans d’existence et le club peut regarder le passé de ces décades excitantes avec plaisir et se réjouir du nombre croissant de ses membres. Des myriades d’évènements, tours et réunions ont été organisés, toujours marqués par l’amitié et la convivia-lité.

Nous saisissons cette occasion de remercier nos amis étrangers de MORGAN qui sont venus à Stresa pour fêter avec nous, tous réunis par la même fascination pour une voiture qui a l’air d’avoir été construite il y a 60 ans, mais qui en réalité est toujours construite de nos jours comme au temps de notre grand-père.

The year 1977 and the Morgan Club Switzerland a short review

It was in the year of 1976 that the enthusiastic Swiss MORGAN driver Linus Flüeli put an advert in the paper «Automobil Revue», calling for interested Morganee-rs to found a Morgan club. A team of four like-minded people made the necessary preparations and on 17th June 1977 the founding assembly could be held on the Balmberg near Solothurn. Altogether 53 members regis-tered, a number which – over the decades – gradually de-volped into today’s 220 members.

1977 was also the year in which the Rover SD1 was named car of he year. Porsche launched the top model 928, a sports car with front engine and 240 hp. The Volkswagen-Golf-successor to the VW-Beetle – became a bestseller in Europe.

On the political scene the German terrorist group RAF dominated the headlines in the so called German autumn. The failed hijacking of the Lufthansa plane «Landshut» in Mogadishu and the subsequent suicides of the Baader /Ensslin & Raspe terrorists hit Germany badly.

In the cinemas one could see the latest Bond film «The spy who loved me» with Roger Moore as pro-tagonist. It was also the year when the iconic musical «The rocky horror picture show» was shown as film in German language.

In the MORGAN factory in Malvern the top selling model +8 was equipped with a 5 speed transmission. Moreover the latest 155 hp engine was fitted which gave the car a fantastic acceleration and a breathtaking top speed. Gearbox and engine were identical with the ones fitted in the Rover 3500 hatchback.

Morgan Club Switzerland is celebrating its 40th year of existence this year and it proudly looks back on exciting decades with a continually growing number of members.Myriads of events, tours and meetings in the most beau-tiful regions of Switzerland and abroad have been orga-nized, all in the spirit of friendliness and conviviality.

We are taking this opportunity to thank all our foreign MORGAN friends who have come to Stresa from all over Europe to celebrate with us. We are all united in the fascination for a car which looks as she had been built 60 years ago, but as a matter of fact is still being built like in grandfather’s times.

● Abfahrt in Gruppen gemäss Farbzuteilung (Teilnehmerliste) nach Angera in das Castello dei Borromei, Museumsbesuch «Puppen & Spielzeuge» mit anschliessendem Apéro riche auf der Terrasse & phantas- tischem Blick auf den Langensee. Rückfahrt nach Stresa mit Wellness / Relaxen am Hotelpool, Bummel durch die Altstadt oder Historienfilm 40 Jahre MCS gemäss Aushang.

● Départ pour Angera en groupes selon les couleurs distribuées (liste des participants), visite du musée «poupées et jouets» au château des Borromées. Apéro riche sur la terrasse avec une vue splendide sur le lac Majeur. Rentrée à l’hôtel pour wellness / relax ou pour une promenade dans la ville médiévale, ou bien regarder le film sur l‘histoire du MCS selon affichage.

● Departure in groups according to the colours allocated (list of participants) to Angera with its castle dei Borromei, tour of the museum of «dolls and toys» to be followed by a rich aperitif on the terrace with a stunning view on Lake Maggiore and the picturesque town of Arona. Afterwards return to Stresa with a possibility to relax at the pool, enjoy the hotel’s wellness facilities, strolÍ in the old town of Stresa or watch the film on the history of MCS as per notice board.

Tour 1 Isola Bella 10.15 h (Lobby) ● Geführte Tour zur «Isola Bella» mit ihrem geschichtsträchtigen Palazzo Borromeo und Museum, seinen barocken Gärten und weissen Pfauen. Bootsrückfahrt und individuelles Mittagessen in der Altstadt von Stresa. Nachmittags relaxen am Pool oder individuelle Ausflüge in die Umgebung gemäss Programm- hinweisen.

● Tour guidé à l’Île «Isola Bella» avec son palais historique des Borromées, son musée, ses jardins baroques et ses fameux paons blancs. Rentrée en bateau et lunch individuel dans la ville médiévale de Stresa. Dans l’après-midi chacun à sa guise: Wellness à l’hôtel ou bien des excursions dans les alentours selon la liste des curiosités.

● Guided tour to the «Isola Bella», visit of the Palazzo Borromeo and Museum and its fabulous baroque gardens, flowers and white peacocks. Boat trip back to Stresa and individual lunches in the mediaval town. In the afternoon wellness / relaxation at the hotel pool or excursions in the neighbourhood with its many points of interest.

Tour 2 Stresa - Mottarone - Orta San Giulio – Stresa (80km, coffee break & lunch).10.30 h ● Morgan Tour zum Parco del Mottarone (1491 m ü.M.) auf der aussichtsträchtigen strasse «La Borromea». Toller Rundblick auf den Lago Maggiore, die umliegenden Seen und die Gebirgslandschaft des Monte Rosa. Möglichkeit zum Sommerrodeln (www.alpyland.com). Anschliessend Weiterfahrt zum Lago d’Orta und dem bezaubernden Fischerdorf Orta San Giulio, Lunch und Rückfahrt ins Hotel. Ankunft ca. 16 Uhr.

● Un Tour Morgan au parc du mont Mottarone (1491 m d’altitude) avec une vue spectaculaire sur le Lac Majeur et le Monte Rosa. Possibilité de faire de la luge estivale (www.alpyland.com), continuation vers le lac d’Orta avec son charmant village des pêcheurs Orta San Giulio, où nous aurons un lunch typique. Arrivée à l’hôtel vers 16.00 h.

● Morgan trip on the historic route «La Borromea» to the peak of Mottarone Park (1491 meters above sea level) with fabulous views on Lake Maggiore and Monte Rosa. Possibility of summer tobogganing (www.alpyland.com). Continuation of the trip to lake Orta with its charming fishermen’s village Orta San Giulio where we shall have a small lunch in a typical trattoria. Time expected to be back at the hotel Regina Palace: + / – 4 p.m.


Tour 3 Stresa – Biella / Oropa – Stresa (ca. 200 km, coffee break & lunch) 9.00 h ● Diese anspruchsvolle, aber schlichtweg ausserordentlich schöne Tour führt auf sorgfältig ausgesuchten Strassen nach Oropa mit seiner Wallfahrtskirche und seinen 19 Kapellen, einem UNESCO-Weltkulturerbe (www.sacromonte-oropa.com). Besichtigung und Lunch, anschliessend Rückfahrt nach Stresa mit Ankunft im Hotel um etwa 17.30 Uhr.

● Ce tour Morgan est extrêmement beau et au même temps exigeant point de vue technique de conduite. Le tour mène sur une route très attrayante à Oropa avec son sanctuaire et ses 19 chapelles (héritage culturel d’UNESCO, www.sacromonte-oropa.com). Visite du Sacro Monte et lunch léger. Rentrée et arrivée à Stresa vers 17.30 h.

● This is an extremely beautiful Morgan tour through picturesque countryside on challenging roads. The target destination is Oropa with its pilgrimage church and its 19 chapels (UNESCO cultural heritage, www.sacromonte-oropa.com). Visit of Sacro Monte to be followed by a light lunch. Return trip to Stresa with an expected arrival at + / – 5.30 p.m.

Tour 4 Stresa – Ascona – Valle Maggia – Mogno – Domodossola – Stresa (ca. 190 km ,coffee-break & lunch). 8.30 h ● Dem Lago Maggiore entlang Richtung Ascona führt die landschaftlich reizvolle Tour in das schweizeri- sche Maggiatal und weiter nach Mogno. Daselbst Besichtigung der modernen und einzigartig stimmungs vollen Kirche des berühmten Architekten Mario Botta. Lunch in einem typischen Tessiner Grotto. Rück fahrt über das Centovalli nach Stresa mit Ankunft um etwa 17 Uhr.

● Ce tour suit les bords du lac Majeur vers Ascona en Suisse. A Ponte Brolla nous entrons la vallée pitto- resque de la Maggia (fleuve). A travers un fameux paysage rurale et typiquement tessinois nous arrivons à Mogno avec son église moderne et à la fois impressionant du célèbre architecte Mario Botta. Visite et lunch dans un grotto tessinois. Le retour nous conduit à travers le très connu Centovalli / Domodossola pour arriver à Stresa vers + / – 17.00 h. ● This lovely tour follows the banks of Lake Maggiore towards Ascona in Switzerland. At Ponte Brolla we enter the picturesque valley of the river Maggia. A beautiful rural country-side – very typical of the region of the Canton «Ticino» - will accompany us until we reach Mogno with its modern and at the same time awe inspiring church of the famous architect Mario Botta. After the visit of the church, a pretty local grotto will cater for some delicious food. The return will take us through the well known Centovalli and Domodossola. Expected time of arrival in Stresa + / – 17.00 h.
