Principal’s Report

It has been a very strange couple of weeks at school, as it has been everywhere. Thank

you to everyone for all of your understanding and support during this difficult time. The

teachers have done an absolutely amazing job in reorganising scopes and sequences, get-

ting together a range of digital resources, organising schedules of activities and getting

everything pushed out to the students through various platforms. It has been inspiring to

watch the collaboration, commitment and determination in very trying circumstances for

both them and their families. Thank you also to the ladies in the office who have taken on

new roles as ‘tech support’ to parents and students experiencing difficulty with online

platforms. I, would also like to make special mention of the students who, due to their

parents work and other arrangements, have to be at school. Their behaviour has been out-

standing as has the work that they have completed. I have also been impressed by the

things that I have seen students working from home completing and once again thank the

parents for the work that you are doing supporting students at home.

Teachers have been making phone calls to students’ homes and will continue to do so with the aim of speaking to students and/or parents at least once each week. If you have any questions or require any support, please ask the teachers when they ring or contact the office. It is important that we all pull together as a community while we have to social distance from each other. Please be kind and be safe and we look forward to seeing you all when more normal operations resume.

CHECK OUT WHAT HAS BEEN HAPPENING IN KC!

As our first term in Kindergarten nears the end, we have been experiencing learning like no one has before! Through-out the term, we have been learning about letter and number formation, writing our names as well as writing sentenc-es. We used Beebots in class to help build our understanding of position. Our learning looks a little different at the moment, but we are still learning new things every day. We even get to guess which teacher is our Mystery Reader!
