The Gospel today announces that the kingdom and salvation are for all
people. It is our persistent calling out to Jesus and our faith that count, for
Jesus always responds.
With love for your neighbors who have nothing, look around your house to
see what furniture, household items, and clothing you no longer use…and
give it to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul.
Please note that the next meeting of the St. Vincent de Paul Society will take place on
Tuesday, September 5th in 7:00 pm in the Parish Center. Please join us and learn more on how
you can volunteer !
"LAUDATO SI, mi Signore" Praise be to you, my Lord" In the words of his beautiful canticle 800 years ago St. Francis of Assisi reminded us that the earth is our common home. We all breathe the same air and walk the same earth. NONE CAN LIVE WITHOUT OUR MOTHER EARTH. Pope Francis urges us to join in a day of prayer on Sept 1st and in events celebrating the Season of Creation, Sept. 1- Oct 4. Here is a short prayer to be said daily as a way of participation.
“Creator of earth, sea and sky, kindle the fire of your spirit within us that we may be bold to heal and defend our world. Pour your blessing upon the people and organizations working everywhere for the good of the planet. Breath of Life, receive out thanks for the beauty of our local habitat and all its inhabitants. Lend us wisdom and will to conserve them. Light and source of life, heal and redeem he wounds of your creation. Visit the places and people which suffer from our indifference , neglect and greed.”
