Sunday, November 25, 2018 2:00 p.m. Celebrating its 26 th year, the Welcome Santa Christmas Parade will take place on Sunday, November 25 th in Ottawa. The parade is free and open to all who want to participate. The parade will begin at the corner of Pratt and 4 th Streets near Water Works Park, proceed to Main Street, turn west onto Main Street, turn north onto Oak Street, turn east onto 4 th Street and end at Sts. Peter and Paul church parking lot. Entries from businesses, organizations, churches, schools, teams, public officials, cars, trucks, motorcycles, farm implements, horses and other animals are welcome. There is no theme, just display your Christmas spirit. Yes, you may pass out candy and materials on the parade route. Please do not include a live Santa in your entry . Santa Claus makes an appearance in a horse-drawn wagon at the end of the parade. You will receive an email containing your line-up number the Monday prior to the parade. Please display your number on the front of your unit to help the parade emcee identify you as you pass the P.C. Courthouse area. Units will line up on Pratt Street between 1:15-1:30 p.m. Units will be judged during line-up and three entries will receive cash prizes. -Judging will begin at 1:40. Parade entry forms due November 13, 2018 Free family activities will take place immediately after the parade in the Ottawa Municipal Parking Lot at Main & Oak Streets.
