Happy New Year!
We hope this finds you well and ready for the
new year. Thinking about that holiday this year
already? Well look no further as Studio
Paradiso have six weeks in Tuscany to choose
from in 2013.
Our holidays are again split into two wonderful
venues in two beautiful Tuscan locations. To
the north is Lunigiana, a region nestled in the
mountains and set back from the tourist trail
but yet only a forty minute drive away from
the beautiful Ligurian coastline. And to the
south, Sovicille in the province of Siena and
only a fifteen minute ride away from the
sensational city itself.
Two beautiful venues in two stunning locations

January 2013
Studio Paradiso 2013
Both venues offer luxurious and very
comfortable accommodation
The estate & private chapel of Casa dell’ Angelo,
Lunigiana.
Casa dell’ Angelo & Casa dell’ Torrentello both have their own pool to relax and unwind in.
There are also plenty of shady terraces and outside seating areas as well as a bar!
Borgo Personatina is a large villa with extra accommodation in apartments that surround the
courtyard and chapel. It also has a lovely salt water pool in its large garden, pretty shaded
terraces and two studio spaces.
Paradiso in Lunigiana Programme A
The picturesque town of Licciana Nardi is
our nearest town and on market day is
on our sketching trip list too!
During the weeks programme we also
visit the picturesque fishing village of
Tellaro and the wonderful walled city of
Lucca - There is however the option of a
boat trip to Portovenere should the
group choose this option instead of
visiting Tellaro.
Lunigiana is an area rich in history and
tradition set amidst magnificent scenery
of mountains and chestnut woods. It is a
truly unspoilt corner of Tuscany and an
inspired choice of destination for the
Italy-bound traveller.
So come & join us here in 2013!
The impressive estate of Casa Dell’ Angelo is set amidst chestnut woods in the hills close to the pretty town
of Licciana Nardi. It comprises of two large farmhouses; Casa Dell Angelo & Casa del Torentello which are a
five minute walk apart, each with their own beautiful swimming pool. The estate has extensive grounds,
olive groves, vineyards and a picturesque private chapel. The two houses both contain large living areas
and spacious bedrooms which are a mixture of en-suite or shared bathrooms. We take turns to dine in each.
Comfortable accommodation in Casa Dell Angelo & Casa Torentello.
The stunning infinity pool at Casa Del Torentello cascades down into a magnificent plunge pool. Here
you can take in the breathtaking views and relax in splendid isolation, making this a painters paradise.
We have four weeks to choose from in Lunigiana in 2013
but please book early in order to avoid disappointment.
We are running two separate weeks in both May and
September but if you would like to join us for a two week
stay then we can offer you a 10% discount!

Studio Paradiso 2013 Programme B
At Borgo Personatina you can enjoy the peace and
tranquillity of its secluded setting but yet be in the
hustle and bustle of one of Tuscany’s most beautiful
cities within twenty minutes.
Siena, just 10km away, is in the heart of Tuscany and
probably Italy’s prettiest medieval city. It’s central
piazza is known as Il Campo and world re-known for
it’s famous annual palio. During the week we take a
sketching trip to this enchanting city and return again
to enjoy its weekly market.
The province of Siena has many hill top towns and one
of it’s most famous is also on our sketching trip list.
San Gimignano is only 36km away from Siena and
dates back to around the tenth century. Famous for
its many towers and its breathtaking skyline being one
of the most remarkable sights in Italy, it’s definitely a
must-see for all artists!
Beautiful accommodation in either twin or double rooms nearly all with en-suites & a spacious
high-beamed living room which doubles up as the perfect Studio.
Do you like the idea of taking time away from
your easel to learn all about the origins of Italian
food? Or are you a non-painting partner who
would love to join in with a days cookery class?
At a small additional cost of just €50 per person (paid
directly to the cook/ tutor) you can enjoy a wonderful
day of tasting, exploring, cooking and eating at Orsa’s
wonderful cookery school in Borgo Personatina. Please ask
for more details.

10 - 17 May & 11 - 18 October
Borgo Personatina is a family run estate nestled in the foothills of the Montagnola amongst wheat fields,
olive groves and vineyards. Situated just south of Siena in Sovicille, it is the perfect spot for an artists
retreat. Accommodation is very luxurious; in la Villa there are six double en-suite rooms and additional
apartments should we need them. A beautiful, spacious high-beamed living room can also double up as the
perfect studio as well as a smaller one in the courtyard. The large garden has many hidden shady spots,
terraces and pergolas plus a beautiful modern pool. The estate is made up of several different buildings
which all piece together around a central square where the small family chapel lies.
Studio Paradiso 2013
Our prices have not gone up since last year! Due to its location, Programme A in Siena is ever so slightly
more expensive than Programme B in Lunigiana. However both programmes have been set at a price that
we feel is reflective of a weeks stay at Studio Paradiso and are still lower than our main competitors.
Our prices start from: €1,200 per person sharing - this includes everything you will need for the week
except your flight, travel insurance, personal spending money & two lunches when out on both sketching
trips.
We charge a €150 single person supplement.
We love to see old faces and returning Paradiso guests are welcomed at a 10% discount as are non-
painting partners & friends.
Your holiday includes: Sevens nights full board & accommodation, including wine served with all
meals and refreshments, airport transfers, all local travel & sketching trips, tuition, the use of
easels, drawing boards, folding chairs & some basic art supplies are all part of the cost. All you need
to do is get yourself to Pisa airport or our local train station & we’ll do the rest…. Personal travel
insurance must also be arranged by yourselves & we provide a list of the art materials that you
should bring with you.
