IMPROVE THE HEALTH OF ALL KIDS
Safety in surgery: New reminder todiscontinue heparin To assure safe care and avoid delays in surgery, an alert will remind the
clinical team to plan timing of discontinuation of therapeutic heparin
infusions 4 hours prior to OR time.
IMPROVE EMR EFFICIENCY
Share lab results using a new field in theorder To improve efficiency, you can now carbon copy providers on lab
results by adding names to the “Copy to Provider” field in the order
details. Learn more about sharing lab results.
Clinical Highlights: Improved criticalinformationThis month's enhancements include changes to critical patient
information, the care team - such as the inpatient assigned RN - and a
consistent naming convention for plans. Read on for more details.
Birth/Pregnancy History Powerform updateA new field in the Birth/Pregnancy History Powerform can pull in birth
weights previously documented in grams. See how it works.
Dyn Doc: Improvements & fixesBased on provider input, the following updates to Dyn Doc are
included in the Aug. 20 release:
Weight-for-length will now pull in to auto-text for
measurements of children under 2 years of age. As the current
accepted growth measurement for this age (rather than BMI),
this meets documentation requirements. BMI will also display as
some studies suggest this measurement may be more predictive
of future health outcomes.
Confidential labs will no longer pull into lab letter templates
or dot phrases.
Functionality of the .famhx_w_neg dot phrase has been
updated to only show negatives entered into the family history
column. This will streamline the information and make
pertinent negatives more visible. See example.
Text pulled in for disposition will no longer be bolded and
underlined.
New search option in the Problem ListThe Problem List component on the Ambulatory tab of the Workflow
summary has been updated to include the ability to use DSM5 as a
search term. See more.
