STEVENSON I am an architect with a PhD and more than 16 years experience in teaching, research and academic administration at university level. I have had the opportunity to work as a lecturer at The University of Los Andes and The National University in Colombia, as well as, The University of Nottingham and The University of Liverpool in England. I have a well-established track record of publications and research grants. In addition, I have worked in practice in both countries. My experiences have broadened my perspectives and allowed me to grow personally, professionally and as a member of a community. I have a positive attitude towards life and value collaborative work, ethics, discipline and self improvement. January 2012 – July 2016 Lecturer, Architecture Department, University of Los Andes, Colombia (Full time) As a researcher, I obtained internal and external research funding to led projects in the areas of architectural education, environmental comfort in buildings, kinetic structures and adaptability. I disseminated the outcomes of these projects at competitions and events and published in high impact journals. I was part of the research group ARTS - Architecture Technology and Sustainability - and the supervisor of 6 M.Arch theses. As a teacher, I designed, coordinated and taught different undergraduate and postgraduate modules, including modules using ICT tools, blended learning and inverted class formats. I also led 15 academic Live Projects, where students worked with communities and private companies to designed and built small architectural projects. As an academic administrator, I organised events and exhibitions and was the editor of the magazine Proyectos, published 4 times a year. January 2007 -December 2011 Lecturer, School of Architecture, University of Liverpool, UK (Full time) As a researcher, I was part of the research group TAARU - Transportable and Adaptable Architecture Research Unit- where I developed the project titled Kinetic architecture: Designing with movement and supervised PhD thesis.
