Ten weeks of hard working, joy and knowledge. This picture shares one of the
most our beautiful moments in CELE, that students with the tutors choose to
show it to other groups and also future students. Our ten weeks in PEAP2 were
very special to each student in the class, we have learned a lot of these 10
weeks that have prepared us very well for our future studies, and made us more
confident and closer to be experts. We are very thankful to the tutors who have
encouraged all students to be better, and also we are thankful to each other, to
the beautiful friendship we had and beautiful moments we have lived them to-
gether.

International Students' views about using Moodle and Mahara at
the Center for English Language Education by Mohammed Alwaqdani
The international students at CELE may face some difficulties when they joined the CELE community.
One of these difficulties is how to use the online system at CELE either Moodle or Mahara.
Figure 1: Students difficulties with using elements as Mahara or Moodle
The above figure shows the common difficulties faced the international students with uploading draft
assignments to Mahara, booking an appointment with a Language advisor in Moodle and finding the
timetables also in Moodle. According to the results, the majority of international students from the
sample has a problem with uploading their assignment's draft to Mahara. It could be because this sys-
tem is new to them and they may not get used to using this kind of system. When interviewed, Stu-
dent A said "some student they have culture and they come from different countries which am I think-
ing difficult to use this Mahara and I mean this technique".
Another possible reason might be the steps to upload the assignment may be complex and unclear.
There are four steps which students have to follow, but may miss one of these steps, so they were not
able to upload their work. For example, in the interview Student A said that He found at the beginning
some problems about how he could put his homework in the right folder. This might be because he did
not know how to access the right file which is a significant step in uploading.

The stress effects on the international
student’s life and the strategies that
they use to deal with it. By Bahar Bah-
rami
Stress is your body’s way of responding
to any kind of demand. It can be caused
by both good and bad experiences.
Therefore. The aim of this research is to
identify these situations with the CELE
students.
This figure shows that 45% of the stu-
dents feel that the main problem is
study. This might be because the most
significant work for them is the study for
a long period, also the educational sys-
tem here may be different from their
home country. On the other hand the
less amount is for immigration and other
problems. With regard to the question-
naire other problems included: new re-
sponsibility, test or exam, childrens'
problems and work. May be at this mo-
ment students think about these prob-
lems less than other reasons such as
study, accommodation and financial
problems.
The proportion of the reactions that stu-
dents could have when they are under
stress. People have different reactions on
their body when they suffer from stress;
like sleeping, eating, headache, stomach
problems.

vices. These facilities included office hours, essential contacts, keeping safe, fire safety, maintenance, emergencies, TV

Virgin Trains
Review by Maha Alsadoun
Pros:
• The diversity in train times
are suitable for everyone.
• A professional staff service.
• Big spacious trains.
• There is a free mobile application and easy to use.
There is quiet zone on the train.
Description:
Virgin trains are one of the best trains in the United Kingdom that made life easier in travelling. Prices
on Virgin trains depend on the distance, the cheapest standard single ticket from Nottingham to Lon-
don coasts 58.50GBP. The service on the train is quite good, there is a good service with suitable
prices. Also part of the service there is a Wi-Fi on the train, free of charge for the first class passen-
gers, and for the other classes it charges them 4 GBP per 1 hour.
Review:
Virgin trains were designed to suit everyone physically and financially. Seats are quite spacious and
comfortable.
There are friendly and helpful staff members, available to answer any question for any costumer, but
the amount of them is very few compared to the large number of passengers. There is also a food
service on the train with suitable prices.
There are specific places for luggage, but they are small and few, does not fit large bags, some of
people end up leaving their luggage in the middle of the way because of the lack of luggage spaces.
A single first class ticket from Nottingham to London coasts 90.50 GBP, and the cheapest standard
single ticket for the same directions coasts 58.50 GBP. The differences in prices between the econom-
ic class and the first class is not fair, because the price of the first class includes facilities like free Wi-
Fi and free meal, on the other hand the cheapest price is only for the seat!
Conclusion:
In conclusion, I would not recommend Virgin trains as the best train company. This company has some advantages and disadvantages, and I think the disadvantages play a very big role here. It is quite expensive, comparing to the service and seats.
Cons:
•The spaces for luggage are small.
•Virgin Trains staff members are very few.
•No bags service by the staff
•The differences between class prices are
not fair.

Using buses in Nottingham
By: Sara Alqatani
The bus service is one of the most useful ways of
public. These buses run regularly and connect
most areas in Nottingham city. Also, there are
many companies that operate the service. Bus
services are one of the most popular ways of
transportation in Nottingham city. It is easy to
catch the bus because there are many stops
throughout the city. These buses can take you to
any destination you want to go to, and they are
given a number so you have to know exactly
where you want to go. However, if you need a bus
you need to find the nearest bus stop to your
home and the number of the bus.
At each bus stop you will see the board which
shows the different number of buses which stops
at the stop. Also the stop contains the timetable
and the map shows the direction of the buses. In
regard to payment, you can either pay at the city
transport, office or pay directly to the bus driver.
Make sure that you have an exact amount of mon-
ey as some buses do not give you change. The
price is reasonable compared to the services. In
order to get off the bus you have to press the but-
ton before you stop. Be kind and say thank you to
the driver before you leave the bus. To get more
information you can visit Nottingham city
transport, office or visit the web site https://
www.nctx.co.uk. You can also download the app
for smart phone.
In addition, the bus journey is fast and many
buses have Wi-Fi especially in the long journey.
On the other hand, the disadvantage of the buses
is that it might not find a seat because sometimes
there is no seat availability, especially at rush
hour.
Overall, I would definitely recommend using the
buses to move around Nottingham especially for
students. The buses are easy to catch, and also
quite cheap. I would suggest planning for long
journeys in advance.
