• The Peerless Inn, Kolkata is a subsidiary of Peerless General Finance & Investment Company (PGFI) and is the flagship Hotel of the holding company Peerless Hotels Limited.
• Peerless General Finance & Investment Company was founded by Late R. S. Roy and Late K. K. Chatterjee in the year 1932 and in the last 75 years of its journey in the world of business, the brand ‘Peerless’ has emerged from a meager resource of Rs. 300.00 to India’s largest Residuary Non-banking Company through the ablest guidance of Late B. K. Roy.
• Without shifting its attention from the core competency sector of its business, in the process of development and expansion, the brand ‘Peerless’ has diversified into various predominant service sectors such as Hospitality, Health Care, Insurance, Travel, Housing, etc.
• Peerless ventured into Hotel business with the establishment of Peerless Hotel Limited in the year 1992 prior to acquiring the then Ritz Carlton property from the Government of West Bengal to operate the Hotel as today’s – ‘The Peerless inn, Kolkata’.
