PERFORMING ARTS DEPARTMENT WINNINGS……..
Youth festival, these are the competitions which was conducted by
governments of all states in India every year on the eve of Sri Swami Vivekananda birthday
celebrations. It has its unique pattern to encourage the hidden talents of youth. It have almost more
than 30 events to be conducted. At first stage, divisional level was conducted and the first prize
winners will be selected for district level. In district level all the divisional level participants will
compete and first prize winners will sent to state level. As in district level, in state level also all
the district level winners will compete and the first prize winner will be selected for National level
youth festivals.
Recently, our IIIT, Nuzvid students were selected to state level under the esteemed
training of M. Sridhar sir (Mridangam), J. Chandramouli sir (Vocalist & Violinist) and B .V. Vidya
Sagar (Vocalist) and participated in it. This year state level was conducted by West Godavari youth
welfare department in Eluru from 29th Jan, 2019 to 31st Jan, 2019. We are Jubilant to say that out
of 5 events we got prizes in 4 events in state level.
Ch. Soma Krishna Vamsi, Mechanical Engineering third year student got first prize in
the event Violin.
I. Balaraju, PUC second year student got first prize in the event of Harmonium.
In the event of Mridangam K. Pavan kumar, Civil Engineering final year student got
second prize and D. Chandra Vardhan, Civil Engineering first year student got third
prize.
In the Folk song group competition, Ch. Aswini group (ECE third year student) gave their
best in the toughest competition and got third prize.
