Hi all,It’s hard to believe we have entered the second quarter of 2013. The ongoing growth of the Pirtek brand continues unabated with our network adding two new centres in Roma and Bundaberg in Queensland. There are interviews with Kim Adamson (Roma) and Gary Kamp (Bundaberg), who are both adding another franchise to their existing centres. In addition to these two new centres we are growing our mobile fleet to meet customer demands and Rod Chapman, our General Manager, Sales and Marketing, provides more details in this edition of Fluid. We are continuing to deliver outstanding community events with Michael Guest and the Pirtek team once again embarked on Australia’s biggest fishing challenge, now in its fifth year. Last year we raised $130,000 for the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia and our aim was to beat that this year. Have a look at the Pirtek Fishing Challenge story and read what we achieved. In this issue you will read that another sporting legend has joined the Pirtek family as he embarks on a new phase in his career. Dual MotoGP champion, Casey Stoner has swapped two wheels for four and is competing in the Dunlop Series for V8 Supercars around Australia. It is ten years since Marcos Ambrose raced under the Pirtek banner and won his first V8 Supercar Championship and a number of franchisees travelled to Las Vegas to celebrate with Marcos and watch him compete in the NASCAR race there. It was a real trip of a lifetime. It’s not just our business that is growing; our Facebook following has also grown to over 2,500 followers and there will be many exciting competitions to enter via the Pirtek Facebook page through the year. If you haven’t joined, please do so you don’t miss out. You can also enter our AFL or NRL Tipping competition there. Speaking of NRL, I would like to wish new coach Ricky Stuart and the Pirtek Parramatta Eels a strong and successful year. Their season started with an inspirational 40-10 victory over the Warriors, but have since suffered a couple of losses. It’s early in the season and I am sure they’ll bounce back to be a major force in the competition. I also wish all of you continued success as we collectively grow our business and the Pirtek brand.

ten years ago Pirtek introduced a new V8 supercar hero - Marcos Ambrose; who won the 2003 and

2004 championships, then went on to race nAscARs in the UsA.

Fast forward almost ten years and Pirtek was delighted to welcome another racing legend to their family. Two-time MotoGP champion, Australian Casey Stoner, made his long-awaited V8 Supercar debut in the 2013 Dunlop Series at the Clipsal 500 meeting in Adelaide.

Recently retired from MotoGP Stoner enjoyed a stellar 176-race career on two wheels that included 45 victories, 43 pole positions and 89 podium appearances. over the past six years in the premier MotoGP class, Casey won two world championships, was runner up once, finished third one year and fourth on two occasions. Pirtek has a long and successful partnership with Australian and New Zealand sporting teams, with their association with Marcos Ambrose

and his 2003 and 2004 V8 Supercar championships two of the standouts, according to Pirtek Group General Manager, Stephen Dutton.

“We have always been keen to play a role in the development of young talent, whether that is in the general community or on the racetrack, football field, golf course or athletics track,” said Dutton.

“Although Casey is a two-time world champion, he comes into this series as a rookie and we are excited to be a part of his entry into V8

Supercars with a successful team like Triple Eight and a co-sponsor with the profile of Red Bull.

“We enjoyed some tremendous success through our years with Stone Brothers Racing and it is great to be back in the sport with such a program.

“obviously the highlight of our time with SBR was winning Bathurst in 1998 with Jason Bright and Steve Richards and then two great championships with Marcos and then a third with Russell (Ingall) as a co-sponsor.

“Coincidentally we are celebrating the 10th anniversary of Marcos’ first championship this year and had a group of Pirtek people in Las Vegas to watch him race his NASCAR.

“We have no on-track expectations given Casey’s V8 experience, but his work ethic, attitude and desire to be successful is a perfect fit for Pirtek, our franchisees and customers.”

Stoner, who won the world MotoGP

title in 2007 and 2011, is looking forward to carrying the Pirtek colours, which were made famous on the racetracks of Australia.

“Red Bull have been long time supporters of mine and it’s great they will be a part of this next phase of my career in partnership with Pirtek,” said Stoner.

“Pirtek is really one of those iconic brands in Australia – especially when it comes to motorsport and success.”

Triple Eight Race Engineering boss Roland Dane welcomed Pirtek into his organisation which has been the most successful outfit in the modern era of V8 Supercar racing.

“It has always been important for Triple Eight Race Engineering to have partnerships with strong brands and good people and we get both those things with Pirtek in this program,” said Dane.

“obviously Pirtek had some great years with SBR and Marcos and what was achieved during that era still resonates with the fans.

“Like Marcos, Casey is the ultimate professional and I think everyone involved is looking forward to being a part of his transition from two to four wheels.”

After being welcomed into the Pirtek family by brand ambassador and NRL legend Nathan Hindmarsh,

Stoner said: “It’s very nice to be with a brand that’s been associated so well with V8’s and for them to come back into it with us is a big privilege. I have a bit to live up to with Marcos Ambrose and his achievements in the Pirtek car when he won his first championship ten years ago. I’ve got a lot of learning to do and a long road ahead of us, but I think it should be a fair bit of fun.”

Stoner’s MotoGP race number, 27 will adorn the Pirtek Red Bull Commodore, something he is very pleased about and explains. “The

learning the tracks and the car and learn what it’s like to drive around with other cars and have other people on track, so we will see how we go and do the best we can. To be honest there isn’t too much pressure on us, people are going to be watching quite a lot to see how we go. This is a big step for me and a big change from two to four wheels and we just need time to learn about the differences.”

Stoner made his Dunlop Series debut at one of Australia’s most unforgiving racetracks; the concrete lined Adelaide street circuit. After qualifying an excellent 12th in the 30-car field, he was running strongly before touching the wall and incurring a puncture and retiring. Starting from the back of the grid in the second race Stoner drove a masterful race and worked his way up the field to finish 14th. His next outing in the Pirtek/Red Bull V8 Supercar is at Barbagallo Raceway which is located at Wanneroo, north of Perth on May 5th. Fluid e-zine will keep you posted on Casey’s progress through the season.

number was given to me in the Spanish championship in 2001 and it was while racing with this number that gave me the opportunity to move into MotoGP’s and Grand Prixs full stop, so it has a lot of sentimental value to me and I’ve stuck with it since.”

“After retiring from MotoGP Stoner announced he was going to have a year off to fish and travel, however he decided to enter V8 Supercars in 2013. “It took us a long time to decide whether we were going to do it or not and realistically I did want that year off and just have no commitments and not be busy at all. But the Dunlop Series is only seven rounds so we do get a lot of time off between rounds and we should get enough time off. The Dunlop Series is perfect for me, I need to learn off the guys around me and learn some of the tracks.”

When asked about his expectations Stoner said: “To be honest, I don’t have any expectations and we don’t know where any benchmark is at the moment. It’s all about

Fluid e-zine spoke with Pirtek Fluid systems General Manager - sales & Marketing,

Rod chapman about the year ahead, the ongoing growth of the Pirtek brand, venturing back into motorsport and the Parramatta eels. on the year ahead Rod said, “We are looking to continue our overall business growth via new locations and increases to our product range, in fact in the first quarter two new Pirtek locations opened in Queensland. The new centres are in Roma, west of Toowoomba and Bundaberg on the coast, near Gladstone. “We also plan to increase our national service vehicle fleet by a further 10 per cent across the country, to ensure we continue to meet the ever growing needs of our expanding customer base. “Pirtek’s foundation and success has been built on mobile servicing and that’s how the business has grown to 94 locations and 350 plus service vehicles. “our business is based on meeting the needs of our customers. The market is becoming more competitive and in order to stay ahead of the game we need to ensure we continue to challenge the market. By increasing our coverage, our service delivery models and overall support, we are making it hard for our opposition to remain competitive with us.

the Year ahead“As market leaders Pirtek doesn’t rest on its laurels and is constantly seeking to improve its operations. This includes the way we train our staff, a newly created Pirtek training school where new employees are delivered a training package covering products, services, assembly and installation procedures, gives our new technicians the best possible start in their career with Pirtek. This is coupled with certification of our field service technicians who are trained in Certificate II in High Pressure Hose Assembly, which is unique across our industry. “In addition we look to add new products to our range where possible and this year we have introduced an automotive product range that includes air conditioning hoses, brake hoses, power steering hoses and LPG hoses. This gives customers more options to deal with Pirtek, which not only covers service work but also over the counter sales across our 94 locations. We continually modify our product range and our product offering to reinvent ourselves in existing markets and announce ourselves in new markets in order to keep our business growing. on a return to the Australian motorsport landscape Rod commented: “The Pirtek name will once again be seen on Australian race tracks this year supporting MotoGP champion Casey Stoner, in his first year of V8 Supercars. The

unusual thing about Pirtek’s history in motorsport is that even today, prior to Casey’s car coming, people still believed that we sponsored a V8 Supercar. It had such an impact on our market. We wanted to reinvigorate that interest with the tenth anniversary (of Marcos Ambrose winning the championship), in 2013. “We produced a substantial amount of commemorative caps and tee shirts. This will hopefully strengthen interest in Pirtek and have a positive knock on effect to our business. Then the opportunity came about, through relationships our senior management have in motorsport, to support Casey Stoner and the Red Bull team as he tests himself in motor racing. It was a great opportunity for Pirtek to get back in at an entry level, while Casey tests his ability in the Dunlop development series. It’s a one-year deal with Casey and Red Bull and we are all looking forward to seeing how he goes and what the future holds.” Given Pirtek’s long time support of the Parramatta Eels, we asked Rod for his prediction of their year ahead. He answered, “Every season at Parramatta is filled with anticipation and expectation and 2013 is no different, new coach, new captains and a new attitude. The first round win over the Warriors was encouraging, but they have lost their last couple of matches. Nonetheless, we wish Ricky Stuart and the team the very best and hope they have a great season.”

Kim Adamson, an engineer by profession has been the Pirtek toowoomba franchisee

since 1995. English born Kim, started his engineering apprenticeship as a 16 year old in England for Bradley & Turton, the maker of hydraulic machines in a town called Kidderminster in the Midlands. Emigrating to Australia in 1978, Kim joined Hydraulic Services and worked there until 1982, when he moved to Canada. He arrived back in Australia a few years later and once again settled in Sydney, working for Containers Limited and Benfields before taking a break from engineering to manage a high-rise holiday apartment building on Queensland’s Gold Coast.

pirtek servicing roMa’s resurgenceKim bought the Pirtek Toowoomba franchise when it consisted of just one van and immediately after the purchase was complete, set about opening a dedicated service centre. He takes up the story: “We threw every penny we had into the project but we had a lot of confidence in the Pirtek system, even then. “The first two years were the hardest, we sold our house and were renting; my wife worked two jobs and invoiced at night and I was in the truck, working 24 hours out on calls. We had one bloke in the centre, but little stock. “We kept pushing and it gradually grew about 10-15 per cent every year for the past 16 years and our high point was in 2012.

“With our move out to Roma, we have initially set it up as a mobile centre, until we establish ourselves. I have no doubt over time we will establish dedicated premises out there, just like we did in Toowoomba all those years ago. At present the energy companies are keeping us busy and it appears that we’ll continue dealing with many of the same people we do now. The area we cover out of Roma includes the Surat Basin, which was once a rich agricultural region but is now becoming known for its coal seam methane fields. “From our beginning in 1995 when it was just the three of us, we now employ 13 people and have four service vehicles on the road. We arrived in Roma mid February with one of our staff, a 6.5 tonne truck and some stock. Now at the end

pirtek servicing roMa’s resurgenceof March, we have just rented a house there. “With the recent floods it’s still very wet through west Queensland and this is why we don’t have much business there yet, as mobile equipment is not able to move around too much. “Most drilling operations simply close down when it is very wet as it’s difficult to access the site. But when the ground hardens I am very confident it will kick off again. It’s okay to sink to your ankles on site, but when you sink to your knees, they call a bit of a halt to proceedings. “The Roma Airport is also about to undergo a refurbishment as it’s now become a bit of a hub. Roma used to be a market town based

on agriculture with people dressed in RM Williams gear and cowboy hats. Now every vehicle is covered in yellow tape and aerials with mine safety gear and everyone is wearing hi vis clothing. Even the shop in Roma that used to sell surf and casual wear now sells industrial clothing. Everywhere you look there are white utes with flags on them from a mine, resource or energy company.” Being a franchisee for 18 years and having built his business up from

one truck to four, and a service centre that employs 13 people and now operating another; Kim attributes his success to the following; “Pirtek is one of the best business franchise systems in the industrial sector and I think Peter Duncan’s original plan was a good one and soundly based. “There are 94 centres now and the franchisees are happy with the system. The Pirtek business is a profitable one if you follow the rules, and work the system the way

its intended to be worked it’s a success. The sky is the limit. orange in New South Wales is another example. He started with one van and in a couple of years became the franchisee of the year. “You also have to deliver customer service and look after the people that use you. If you do, you tend to get repeat business. But you must always follow through and don’t ever let people down.”

Gary Kamp and his wife Jane have been business partners for many years.

Gary, an accountant by profession and Jane first worked together in his accounting practice back in his native south Africa.

They then bought and operated an engineering business for around 20 years in Kyasands, near Johannesburg, South Africa. This business supplied diesel engine components for locomotives, after market spares and ancillary parts for diesel engines, including their own-patented products for General Electric diesel motors. It was while running this business they were introduced to the Pirtek name and services.

After spending some time travelling, Gary and Jane initially settled in southern New South Wales before literally going nuts; with the purchase of a Macadamia farm in the northern part of the state.

The Macadamia farm was replaced after 12 months when Gary and Jane became the proud owners of the Gladstone franchise in September 2010.

When asked why he chose to invest in a Pirtek franchise Gary said: “I had dealt with Pirtek in South Africa and found them a good business to deal with. When we made the decision to come and live in Australia, I wanted to invest in a Pirtek franchise.”

Now, less than three years later Gary and Jane have expanded

When asked about his success Gary said: “I think the Pirtek brand and the way the systems operate go a long way to helping any Pirtek franchisee succeed, as long as they stick to the economic standards and proper business practices.

A group of more than 20 Pirtek franchisees, clients and families celebrated the 10th anniversary of Marcos

Ambrose’s first V8 Supercar championship in the Pirtek Falcon, with a trip to Las Vegas this month.

The trip was not just made to try their luck on the tables, but to watch Ambrose compete on the 1.5-mile Las Vegas Motor Speedway in round three of the NASCAR Sprint Cup – one of the toughest motorsport series in the world.

The group arrived in Las Vegas on Thursday and were welcomed to their US experience with drinks at The Cosmopolitan Hotel right on The Strip.

Friday provided an opportunity for some shopping and sightseeing before a group dinner at Trevi restaurant at Caesar’s Palace.

During the night a Sweepstakes draw was made with each guest receiving two entries in Sunday’s Sprint Cup event and a prize of $US1,000 up for grabs.

Saturday morning, it was off to the track to enjoy the Nationwide race and then a ride in a Richard Petty School car, which several guests nominated as the highlight of their trip.

one-by-one the guests were strapped into cars and taken for a ride on the banked LVMS oval at speeds in excess of 240km/h.

on Sunday guests arrived in the foyer of the Bellagio to find that their “ride” for the day had been “upgraded”.

The guys at BAM Tours had organised “Big Blue” – the “world’s biggest limo” to shuttle guests to the track – Complete in Pirtek blue with 10th anniversary signage on the side!

Guests had the chance to be on the actual track for driver introductions and then have a quick meet and greet with Ambrose beside his car in pit lane.

While the star of the show for the Pirtek guests did not have the best of results in the actual race, there were plenty of stories to tell on the limo ride back to the strip.

The group received an added bonus on Monday morning when Ambrose made a surprise visit to the Bellagio on his way to the airport for a private meet and greet.

Pirtek Fremantle Franchisees, Mark and Kerry Lydiard, enjoyed every minute of their trip, which they combined with an extended look around the US.

“It was great to catch up with Marcos again. It is hard to believe it is 10 years since he won that first championship for Pirtek,” said Mark, who has been associated with Pirtek for more than 25 years.

“Vegas is such a great venue for such a tour and we really got an idea of how the whole NASCAR show works – it is such a big deal.

“The guys at BAM Tours did a great job looking after us and really value added every step of the way – there were little surprises everywhere, including a personally autographed and framed image of Marcos and a USB card with hundreds of images from the tour as a nice farewell gift.

“To have Marcos drop in to see us at the Bellagio on Monday morning was the icing on the cake for many of us who see him as part of the Pirtek family. It was certainly a terrific experience.”

After the meet and greet it was off to the Cabo Wabo Cantina for a final farewell lunch and a few more tales from Sunday night’s post-race free time.

And who won the $1000?

Well Matt Kenseth won the race and it was Amanda Hogan’s shout for a round of drinks!

Amanda and her husband Michael joined in-laws Jason and Nicola Hogan who have the Pirtek franchise at Malaga.

september 10th 2012 was a milestone day for the Pirtek Parramatta eels.

Ricky Stuart was announced as the new coach after the Eels suffered their worst ever season, finishing as wooden spooners for the first time in 40 years. Parramatta described snaring Stuart as, ‘The best signing since (Jack) Gibson.’ The Legendary Eels coach who took them to three consecutive premierships in 1981-82 & 83. Stuart’s first day on the job saw the players arrive for their first training session in preparation for the 2013 season. This hit out came a full two months earlier than previous years and highlighted Stuart’s determination to return this proud club to a major force in the NRL. As a player in the late 1980’s & 90’s, Stuart was a key member of the all-dominant Canberra Raiders that included Laurie Daly, Mal Meninga and Gary Belcher. Stuart started his career playing rugby union and in 1998 switched codes to league and joined the Canberra Raiders, playing halfback.

pirtek parraMatta eels WelcoMe rickY stuartIn 1993 Stuart won the games highest individual prize; the Dally M medal and then in 2000, after 40 games with the Canterbury Bulldogs, he hung up his boots for the last time, before turning his attention to coaching, initially with the Sydney Roosters. He enjoyed a successful time winning a trifecta of premierships from 2002-2004. In 2005 Stuart was appointed coach of New South Wales for just one State of origin series. Nonetheless, Stuart’s team won 2-1 having lost the first match in high drama. Stuart had another stint as the first full-time coach of the New South Wales State of origin Rugby team, a position he held until accepting the coaching role at the Eels. Stuart remains the last man to coach a NSW team to State of origin victory. Hot on the heels of a 40-10 victory over the Warriors after the opening round of the season, Fluid e-zine sat down for a chat with Ricky Stuart at his new club. Why did you accept the coaching role at the Pirtek Parramatta eels?

stuart: “The Pirtek Parramatta Eels are a proud club with a proud history, they have a fantastic junior league and they have some of the most passionate members and supporters in the league. It was a great opportunity for me personally as a coach, and I have enjoyed every minute of it so far.” What are your goals in your first year with the eels? stuart: “The first and most important thing is to get the boys enjoying their footy again. They have been beaten around a fair bit over the last 18 months, and I wanted to bring them together as a group. I want us to improve this year but I’m not making any bold predictions. There is a big job to be done here, and we are making some positive steps towards long term success.” tell us about the new players at the eels? stuart: “Darcy Lussick and Daniel Harrison have come to us from Manly. They have been a great fit so far and have really bought in to what we are trying to achieve here. the brilliant thing about Parramatta is that we have so many great juniors

pirtek parraMatta eels WelcoMe rickY stuartcoming through the ranks, which puts us in good stead for the future.” How would you describe your coaching style? stuart: “I guess that is for others to judge, but mateship and caring are very important to me. to have 17 blokes running out onto a field playing for each other is a powerful thing, and it is my job to make sure that happens each week.” What position on the ladder will satisfy you at this season’s end? stuart: “If we make the top 8 this year that is a tremendous result considering where we have come from. But as I said there is a big job to be done here and there is no short-term fix. We are working towards long-term success not short term fixes. This club and its members and fans deserve a team that is consistently at the upper end of the nRL ladder, but to create that culture of success takes time.” How was pre-season training? stuart: “The pre-season is always tough. But when you are out on the training paddock working hard

for each, it builds and strengthens mateship. We made sure everything we did was Rugby League specific, and the boys are better for it.” Given last year’s result and the expectations of the fans, do you feel any extra pressure on you, coming into this season? stuart: “No pressure mate. The club’s motto is proud history, new beginning and that goes for the footy team as well. We are starting again.” Which players are you looking to, to step up their on field performance this year? stuart: “I think across the board the boys would agree they need to improve. obviously we need guys like Jarryd Hayne and Chris Sandow to play well every week for us to get the results on the field.” What is the one area of the game that the eels can improve on most this season? How have you gone about improving this area of their match play so far? stuart: “Defence is the cornerstone of any great rugby league team and that is definitely an area we

needed to improve. Assistant Coach Dean Pay has been especially brilliant in this area for the boys.” When do you believe the eels will win their next premiership cup? stuart: “As part of the club’s 5-year strategic plan we aim to win a competition by 2017, but that is a long way away. our focus is getting better each week and building a culture where blokes want to play for each other. We get that right we go a long way to delivering that long awaited premiership to this club.” In terms of challenges, how do you rate this one compared to your playing and state of origin coaching career? stuart: “This is a big one no doubt about it, but we are all in it together. We have great support from the Blue and Gold Army and that really does make all the difference. I am a Rugby League tragic at heart and while being a coach has its fair share of challenges, I wouldn’t trade it in for quids.” The Pirtek Parramatta Eels won their opening match 40-10 over the Warriors but since then have suffered three losses to sit 13th on the ladder after four rounds.

pirtek celebrates With nathan hindMarshto celebrate the start of the 2013

nRL season, Pirtek created a competition on its Facebook

page and gave away two VIP tickets to the opening match in the Pirtek Corporate box at Parramatta stadium. The competition received over 800 entries and the prize included two of the best seats in the house, superb catering and the opportunity to meet recently retired second-rower and Pirtek brand ambassador, Nathan Hindmarsh. Nathan gave the winner Narelle Wells an insight to the game from a player’s perspective.

Narelle was delighted to attend the match with her husband,

Lawson and said; “It was fantastic and one of the best days I’ve ever had. The food and drinks were lovely and the staff in the Pirtek box were absolutely wonderful and very hospitable. We spent almost the entire game with Nathan Hindmarsh. He was fantastic and so generous with his time. He went out of his way to make us feel welcome and enjoy the day.”

With the Pirtek Parramatta Eels winning their opening game against the Warriors 40-10, it was a great game for Narelle and Lawson to attend and an encouraging start to the 2013 season. Hindmarsh, who retired from the game last year after 330 games is one of the sports most decorated

players and scored 60 tries for a total of 242 points in his fourteen-year career. He also represented NSW on 17 occasions in the State of origin and played in 23 tests for Australia. Throughout 2013 Pirtek will be providing more opportunities to attend Pirtek Parramatta Eels matches in the corporate box. To keep up to date, go to the Pirtek Facebook page. Spread the flour onto a large plate or tray then In a bowl, mix the corn flake crumbs and mixed herbs then spread the mixture onto a separate large plate or tray.

Coat the chicken in flour, then dip into the egg mixture then coat the chicken with the crumb mixture and set aside

Place a large pan on the stove on a medium heat, cover the base of the pan with the extra virgin olive oil and add the butter (the butter will help look golden colour when cooked). When the butter starts to bubble add the chicken fillets and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side

When you have turned the chicken, add the peas to the steamer

Strain the potatoes and place them back into the pot, add the milk, cream, garlic and Parmesan cheese and mash until creamy and smooth

Plate up with generous serves of garlic mash, peas and the golden brown schnitzel, smother with gravy and sprinkle chives over the mash. Some cracked pepper and you are good to go!

There you have it, my all time favourite meal.

Cheers and enjoy, bon appetit..........

the latest chapter of Australia’s biggest national fishing competition, the 2013 Pirtek

Fishing challenge took place on sunday March 24th.

Pirtek Fluid Systems have been longtime supporters of the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia and the Pirtek Fishing Challenge aims to raise funds and awareness for this very worthy cause.

After attracting 6,500 entries in 2012, that raised $130,000 for the Foundation, the aim was to increase that figure again this year.

And that is exactly what was achieved, with a total of 7,530 anglers raising $150,600.

The objective of the Pirtek Fishing Challenge was to catch, measure, photograph and release the fish.

Divided into several categories, the prize pool for this year’s event totalled $145,000. Prizes included an Evinrude E-TEC outboard engine, an ocean Kayak Prowler Pack, a

Roman Camping package and a BCF spending spree. There were 20 targeted species nationally and a mystery length prize. Fluid e-zine spoke to Fishing Challenge Director and Pirtek brand ambassador Michael Guest just after he returned home and he proudly talked about how successfully it has grown.

“It’s getting bigger and better every year, the momentum is incredible. it’s just amazing how much it has grown from year one, when we had just 1,800 anglers to this year with 7,530.

“The Pirtek Fishing Challenge is conducted in a sustainable way, meaning you catch the targeted fish, get a cool photo of yourself with the fish and release it back into the water.

“one highlight for me this year was the weather, which was pretty good all around the country. I’d have to say the biggest highlight

though was seeing the number of people that supported the Challenge and how fishermen band together to support a great cause like the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia.”

When asked about some of the catches Michael said: “The photos are still coming in, but from what I have seen so far there are many wonderful shots of families and groups of mates enjoying their time and fishing together.”

In the next issue of Fluid e-zine, we will bring you all the highlights of the 2013 Pirtek Fishing Challenge.
