POWER COMMANDER V INPUT ACCESSORY GUIDE

Map - (Input1or2)ThePCVhastheabilitytohold2differentbasemaps.YoucanswitchontheflybetweenthesetwobasemapswhenyouhookupaswitchtotheMAPinputs.Youcanuseanyopen/closetypeswitch.Thepolarityofthewiresisnotimportant.WhenusingtheAutotunekitonepositionwillholdabasemapandtheotherpositionwillletyouactivatethelearningmode.Whentheswitchis“CLOSED”Autotunewillbeactivated.(SettoSwitchInput#1bydefault.)

Shifter- (Input1or2)TheseinputsareforusewiththeDynojetquickshifter.InsertthewiresfromtheDynojetquickshifterintotheSHIFTERinputs.Thepolarityofthewiresisnotimportant.(SettoSwitchInput#2bydefault.)

Speed- Ifyourapplicationhasaspeedsensorthenyoucantapintothesignalsideofthesensorandrunawireintothisinput.ThiswillallowyoutocalculategearpositionintheControlCenterSoftware.Oncegearpositionissetupyoucanalteryourmapbasedongearpositionandsetupgeardependentkilltimeswhenusingaquickshifter.

Analog- Thisinputisfora0-5vsignalsuchasenginetemp,boost,etc.Oncethisinputisestablishedyoucanalteryourfuelcurvebasedonthisinputinthecontrolcentersoftware.

Crank- DoNOTconnectanythingtothisportunlessinstructedtodosobyDynojet.Itisusedtotransfercranktriggerdatafromonemoduletoanother.

ACCESSORY INPUTS

Wire connections:

ToinputwiresintothePCVfirstremovetherubberplugonthebacksideoftheunitandloosenthescrewforthecorrespondinginput.Usinga22-24gaugewirestripabout10mmfromitsend.PushthewireintotheholeofthePCVuntilisstopsandthentightenthescrew.Makesuretoreinstalltherubberplug.

NOTE:Ifyoutinthewireswithsolderitwillmakeinsertingthemeasier.

1 Removebothseats.Removethe2panelsatbothsidesofthefueltank.Removethesmallpanelsurroundingthekeyswitchatthefrontofthefueltank.Removethefueltank.Removethesmallplasticpaneljustbelowthefueltankontherightsideofthebike.

2 StorethePCVmoduleinthetailjustunderthepassengerseat.Routethewiringharnessforwardtowardstheenginegoingleftofthebattery.

3 UsethesuppliedVelcrostripstosecurethePCVmoduleinthetailsection.

Clean both surfaces with the supplied alcohol swab prior to applying the Velcro adhesive.

4 SecurethePCVgroundwirewiththesmallringlugtothenegative(-)terminalofthebike’sbattery(Fig.A).

Unplug 5 Locateandunplugthebike’sFuelInjector(Fig.B).

The Fuel Injector is located directly on top of the throttle body.

6 PlugthepairofleadswithORANGEcoloredwiresofthePCVwiringharnessin-lineofthebike’sFuelInjectorandthestockwiringharness(Fig.C).

7 RoutethepairoflargeconnectorsandthepairofWHITE2-pinconnectorsofthePCVwiringharnessdowntotheleftsideofthethrottlebodywheretheThrottleBodyServoislocated.

8 Routethe2pairsofBLACK2-pinconnectorsofthePCVwiringharnessundertheframeandforwardtowardstheIgnitionCoilsticksontherightsideofthecylinderhead.

9 Ontheleftsideofthethrottlebody,locateandunplugthestockelectricalconnectorfromtheThrottleBodyServo(Fig.D).

10 OncetheThrottleBodyServoisunplugged,locateandunplugthestockCrankPositionSensorconnectorsjustinfrontoftheThrottleBodyServo(Fig.E).

This is a WHITE 2-pin connector pair.

11 PlugthepairofWHITE2-pinconnectorsfromthePCVwiringharnessin-lineofthestockCrankPositionSensorconnectors(Fig.F).

13 Pushtheextraconnectorpairsinsideoftheframeandinfrontofthethrottlebody.

14 Ontherightsideoftheengine,locateandunplugthestockBLACK2-pinconnectorfromtheinnercoilstickandthestockWHITE2-pinconnectorfromtheoutercoilstick(Fig.H).

17 Locateandunplugthestockconnectorforthebike’sO2sensor.

This is a 4-pin connector on the right side of the bike just slightly forward of the coil connections. You can trace the cable from the O2 sensor in your exhaust to this connector.

18 PlugthesuppliedO2Optimizerintothebike’swiringharnessinplaceofthestockO2sensor.

The stock O2 sensor will no longer be used. It can be removed from the exhaust if desired and if you have a way to plug the hole in the exhaust.

19 Reassemblethebike.
