Pm Bear Tracks December 2016

A few things we’ve been learning about… ~Winter as a season & snow:

We created a wintry village scape on our classroom bulletin board, complete with snow, houses, evergreen trees and snow people

We brainstormed a “Winter Web” on our dry erase board, which included some of the following words…cold, hats, mittens, sledding, skating, & hot cocoa.

We painted with watercolor paints and added iodized salt following to create a “frozen” effect (science and artJ).

We sequenced a series of four snow people, in various stages of building, to challenge our thinking and numerical skills.

We used our fine-motor skills to build and construct with mini-marshmallows and toothpicks (which we were later able to disassemble and eatJ
