Volunteer Relationship Management System (VRMS):

How Volunteers Get Involved

Welcome to VRMS: Volunteers

Volunteers can:

• Create and maintain

their service history in

one easy place

• Search and apply for

global and local

opportunities

• Apply online, see

applications in

progress

Welcome to VRMS: Chapters

Coordinators can:

• Create, post and manage

opportunities

• Review applications,

profiles, resumes

• Search for interested

volunteers

• Utilize tools and templates

• Receive reports on service

history and interest

VRMS Enhancements and Updates Completion Expected May 2013

• New “Reviewer” role – Coordinators will be able to assign colleagues as reviewers so

applications and profiles can be made by a committee.

• Areas of interest – Volunteers will be able to indicate interests and be notified via email when

opportunities are posted that match. Coordinators will also have access to searching for

volunteers based on interests.

Completion Expected Later in 2013

• Increased profile/resume information – Coordinators’ ability to find volunteers will include

resume information when using the keyword search and more professional information from

myPMI accounts, giving a greater view of a volunteer’s experience.

• Option to restrict applications to chapter members – Coordinators will have the option of

allowing only their members to apply, cutting down on inappropriate submissions.

• Automatic service history feed for chapter roles – Volunteers roles assigned via VRMS will

populate in service history, eliminating the need for volunteers to manually update their service

history.
