Some things never change: historic public relations and race issues have hampered effective police work for nearly 100 years.

Community Policing works, but key audiences don’t understand it. The message is not getting out. We can help!

“While we obviously cannot change the past, it is clear that we must change the future. …

It is my hope that, by working together, we can break this historic cycle of mistrust and build a better and safer future for us all.”

GOOD NEWS!

(CNN) Americans' respect for police has climbed to a near-record high, according to a new Gallup poll.

The findings, released Oct. 24, show that 76% of adults said they have "a great deal" of respect for their local police -- a 12-point jump since last year and just one point shy of the all-time Gallup high in 1967.
