According to acommunication receivedfrom the Additional PublicProsecutor, on July 16, 2013,the accused Sarojit Kullualong with his brother-in-law was drinking beer nearthe shop of Surya MohanDas who restrained. On thenext day, Surya and hisbrother-in-law went to thehouse of the accused tocomplain about his misdeedupon which Sarojit becamefurious and assaulted the

victim upon his neck withDah. He survived the attackand later gave statementabout the incident in Court.The Court of AdditionalSession Judge on Jan 17,2020 convicted the accusedbeing found guilty underSection 308 of Indian PenalCode and sentenced him tosuffer rigorousimprisonment for four yearsand fine of Rs. 10,000/- indefault of payment of suchfine, simple imprisonmentfor 6 months further.
