POSTDOCTORAL POSITION IN ORGANIC/ORGANOMETALLIC CHEMISTRY and PHOTOCHEMISTRY
A postdoctoral position will be available (starting from January 1st 2020) in the Laboratory of
Organic Chemistry and Photochemistry (https://cop.ulb.ac.be) of the Free University of Brussels for 18
months under the supervision of Prof. Cécile Moucheron. The project, funded by an Innoviris Bridge
grant, will involve the development of new catalysts and reactions based on photoredox catalysis with
copper complexes in collaboration with various industrial partners.
The ideal candidate for this position will be highly motivated, must hold a PhD in chemistry with
a specialization in organic/coordination chemistry, broadly defined, and should not have defended
her/his PhD before January 2018. Applicants will further benefit from experience in
photochemistry/photophysic/photoredox catalysis, organometallic chemistry and/or homogeneous
catalysis.
