Russian winters are very long and when the snow finally melts; everyone wants to celebrate the beautiful sunshine.

Our nation's birthday is July 4th and Americans celebrate with parades, fireworks, and lots of music.

The Memphis region is known particularly to media outlets, as the Mid-South.

Many well-known musicians grew up in and around the Memphis and Mississippi Delta.

These included such musical greats as Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins, Johnny Cash, W.C. Handy, B.B. King,Issac Hayes, Booker T. Jones, Al Green, and many others.
