Understanding Powerbanks• How quickly will this charger get the job done?A power accessory’s output current indicates if a charger is capable of charging a particular device and how quickly. The output current is quantified in amps, with most chargers being 0.5A, 0.8A, 1A or 2A. The higher the number, the larger the device it can charge as well.

Alternately, to determine how quickly a power accessory will recharge itself, take note of the charger’s input current. The lower the number, the longer it will take for the charger to be recharged.

• What can I charge?Many power sources are designed to only support charging one device at a time, however, some feature multiple outputs giving you the ability to charge more things at once.

To successfully charge multiple devices, be sure that your charger’s output current is at least 2.1A so that it efficiently powers everything you connect to it.

• How long will a charge last?Knowing whether your charger is ready to handle the next job depends on its capacity. This is indicated by its milliamp hour (mAh). The greater the mAh, the longer the charger will last while in use. Standby time, on the other hand, will tell you how long the charger will hold a charge when not in use.
