2.0 INTRODUCTION OF THE PROJECT/ BACKGROUND INFORMATION

(I) Identification of Project and Project Proponent

Shri Jitendra Yadav is an individual which is involved in the mining activities and

trading of minerals. The lessee has proposed the Masonry Stone Mining Project (ML

No-64/2002, ML Area 1.0 ha) near Village-Meena Ki Nangal, Tehsil- Neem Ka Thana,

District- Sikar (Rajasthan).

(ii) Brief Description of the Nature of Project

This is a Masonry Stone Mining Project (ML No-64/2002, ML Area 1.0 ha) near Village-

Meena Ki Nangal, Tehsil- Neem Ka Thana, District- Sikar (Rajasthan). Earlier mining

lease was granted by State Govt in favor of Shri Vikram Meena S/o Shri Rajendra

Prasad Meena on 09.04.2003 for 20 years which was registered on 16.04.2003. Mining

lease was transferred in favor of Shri Jitendra Yadav S/o Shri Dhan Singh Yadav by

State Govt Letter no KHA/SIKAR/MINOR/KHA .P/64/02/2982 dated 29.06.2005.

The simplified mining scheme has been approved by office of the Superintending

Mining Engineer, Jaipur Circle, Dept of Mines & Geology, Jaipur (Raj) vide letter no-

SME/JP/MP/P-1415/13/1255 dated 15.05.2014.

As per EIA Notification dated 2006, as amended till date, this project comes under

Mining of Minerals S. No. (1A)-5 Category A, as general condition is application due to

interstate boundary of Rajasthan & Haryana falling within 0.2 km in North direction

from mine site. Hence, environment clearance is required from Ministry of

Environment Forest & Climate Change.

(III) Need for the Project & Its Importance to the Country/ Region

Masonry Stone is mainly the basic raw material used in construction of building

material. Looking into the demand of masonry stone in nearby area, it is necessary to

have this mining project.

(IV) Demand – Supply Gap

Considering the demand of mineral sufficient availability of the mineral in the area, it

is essential to have Masonry stone mine to sustain the supply of mineral for

construction purpose.

(v) Imports vs. Indigenous Production

It is a Masonry Stone mineral used in building construction purpose in Rajasthan,

Haryana, Punjab, Uttaranchal, MP, UP etc.

(vi) Export Possibility

There is export possibility as Masonry Stone mineral used in building construction

purpose in Rajasthan, Haryana, Punjab, Uttaranchal, MP, UP etc.
