Move

y To Move an objecty Type M or Move

y Select the object

y Select the point to move from, or the base point

y Choose the second point to move to

y Select the boundaries you want to extend to

y Select the object

y Press enter

y Eg: lines extended to the arc



Text Boxy Draw Text choose the single line or multiline

o write the text you want and edit it as per your preference

y Select your text box and go to its properties to change it

Scaley Select Scale from modify toolbar

y Select your object

y Choose the base point

y Type C or Copy if you want to keep the previous image

Choose the scale factor that you want

y Select R after choosing the base point, will allow you show AutoCAD the

reference length (by pointing to the two

y endpoints of a line to be scaled), and then specify the new length.

y You can specify the new length by pointing, or by dragging the object.

y And see what happens



Arrayy Makes copies of an object in a

chosen pattern. Either click on

the array icon or type ¶array· in

the command line



Polar ArraysPolar Arrays: show patterns in a

circle

y 1- Select the objects you want to put in a circularpattern then push enter

y2- Choose the centre point of rotation by clickinghere or type in the coordinates directly

y 3- Say how many times you want to copy theobjects

y 4- Say how many degrees you want to copy theseobjects over

y 5- Click preview to check your work, if you like itthe way it is, push enter, if not push Esc and thisscreen will pop up again.

Rectangular Arrays: show patterns in a

1- Select the objects you want to put in a rectangular patternthen push enter

2- Choose how many rows and columns of the same objectyou want

3- Specify the distance between one point in one object andthe same point on another object in the x-direction (rowoffset)

4- Specify the distance between one point in one object andthe same point on another object in the y-direction

(column offset)

5- Click preview to check your work, if you like it the way itis, push enter, if not push Esc and this screen will pop upagain.

y Allows you to choose a new point for your Origin:

y meaning you can shift (0,0)of your coordinate axis to a new point

y Type UCS:
