Rereshers’ Carnival Exams are over, the winter blues are comingto an end… it’s a perfect time to re-live being afresher and we have just the thing; RefreshersCarnival!
It’s taking place all day on Monday 6th andTuesday 7th February in the Venue at theStudents’ Union. There will be over 100 stallsincluding many clubs and societies; with anexpected footfall of over 4,000 students!We are offering a big cash prize for those active
clubs & societies who can generate as manymembers as possible between 6th and 17thFebruary. For those students attending, join inthe carnival with ‘freebie’ company stalls, livemusic, food and plenty of fun.

The Rupert’s Wood Project
Volunteers are needed to join the group to helpout with various conservation tasks at the wood,preparing the wood for the day and residential
trips throughout the year, and to help outwith the children’s camps (if you want to!)with outdoor sports (rock climbing, canoeing,archery etc.) on each summer camp.
The work is exible around your timetableand commitment is as much or as little asyou can manage. If you can drive this wouldbe particularly useful – SCAN have their ownvehicle to use.

Super Bowl
Our American Football team (The Raiders) are hosting a Super Bowl Party this Sunday evening10.30pm - 4am at which the NFL game will be broadcast live all night. Tickets are on sale fromoutside the union all week for £5.
NUSSC trip
Newcastle University Ski and Snowboard Club extend an invitation to all students – join them forthe BUSC Main Event this March! All skiing abilities are welcome and lessons can be provided,come alone or with friends and experience on of the top 20 mountain events of the year!! (asrecently reported in National press).
