Recognizing the importance of Civil‐Military coordination,a Technical Committee has been established between theMinistry of Defense and the Ministry Of Civil Aviation(Represented by NANSC and the ECAA) for the purpose ofreorganizing Cairo FIR to apply a flexible use of airspace(FUA) within a Civil/Military cooperation system inaccordance with the Civil/Military operationalrequirements. canceled. Bans to fly over the prohibited areas P2, P18, P19,

and P20 have been canceled. Traffic flying from HECA to HEAR has been

approved to fly via CAI‐ISM‐ARH instead of CAI‐BLT‐MILAD‐PASOS‐ARH which makes the trip 20 minutes instead of 39 minutes.

What is A-CDM?

• Airport CDM is an operational concept which aims at improving operational efficiency at airports by reducing delays, improving the predictability of events during the progress of a flight and optimising the utilisation of the resources involved with a focus on the turn-around procedure of an aircraft.

• The improved decision making by the Airport CDM Partners is facilitated by the sharing of accurate and timely information and by adapted operational procedures, automatic processes and user friendly tools with a no blaming culture.

Benefits for ……

• The Airport Operator, improved use of stands / gates will increase capacity. More stable traffic flows and reduced taxi times will lead to fewer queues at the runway or congestion on the apron or taxiways.

• Air Traffic Control will benefit from improved runway and capacity planning. More accurate take off time predictions will lead to more accurate capacity calculations of the network demand for ATFM. This enhances flow and capacity management.

Benefits for ……• The Ground Handler will benefit from more accurate arrival

times, which allows for more accurate planning with more efficient use of resources.

• The Aircraft Operator, as it will have an improved awareness about the status and location of the aircraft. Together with sequence information and better arrival times, more accurate fleet predictions will be the result.

• The environment, as fuel burn due to queues at the threshold will be reduced, which has both, an economic and environmental impact.

Benefits for ……

• The Passengers, as they will benefit from reduction in delays, and fewer missed connections. After disruptions recovery will be faster. Also for arrivals more accurate information can be delivered to the respective information systems and service desks.

• Airport CDM is an operational concept built of elementsaiming to achieve greater operational efficiency at airports.

• It will Improve punctuality and efficiency Improve predictability of operational processes Transparency of sequence for all partners Reduction of engine running times, e.g. during taxiiing Optimised fallback after disruption Optimize the use of available capacity (full or limited

capacity, i.e. WX) be beneficial for all users!
