PURPOSE:
- Describe the effects of floods on buildings;- Identify some of tricks that can be taken to limit damages;- Has developed the technology for the construction of buildings and amphibious floats;- Analysis of case studies.
LIMITS:
- Research does not affect the house-boat (houseboats);- The discussion is limited to analyze individual buildings without investigating their impact on an urban scale.
OBJECTIVES:
- Overview of the most common flotation systems;- Analysis of the technical elements of the building and construction of an abacus of the solutions adopted to address these needs;- Detailed technical description of a type of building, comparing two types of buildings made by competitors who use similar flotation systems .
