What is Yammer?

• Yammer is a hosted enterprise microblogging site for all Oc

• Yammer supports you to:

• • tell your colleagues what you are doing

• • ask your colleagues a question

• • even the ones you dont know (yet)!

Why Yammer?

• To create a more open, transparent and connected Oc, where knowledge workers can connect freely and quickly around the globe.

• The use of media is rapidly changing around the world. Twitter is taking off, also in the business environment. Yammer is the more secure internal version of Twitter.

• We are currently experimenting with new media. Yammer is one of these experiments.

How to Yammer? (1)

• Go to the Yammer site and fill in your Oc-email address

• Or: youll be invited to join. Then: just follow the link.

• And youre ready to Yammer! Go ahead and try. Dont be afraid to make mistakes!

How to Yammer? (2)

• Fill in your profile

• You may fill in the organizational chart. Note: the people you fill in are implicitly invited!

• You can Yammer by typing some text in the text box, hit enter or click Update

• You can follow the update via the Yammer.com site or desktop client (check box download desktop client just below your profile)

• Make sure you Follow the colleagues youd like to follow.

• Click on the colleagues name, then click the (un)follow button.

• If you want to share what you are doing, or ask a question, post an update.

• You can reply to colleagues if you want.

Is Yammer secure?

• Yammer is secure, but not as secure as an internal application

• Use it as you would use your web-mail (Hotmail, Gmail)

• Dont drop core Oc secrets into Yammer

• Only Oc-employees can read our Yammers

• More security can be and will be added if this is a success
