Third reunion in Slovenia

15-19 April 2013

For a second year Bulgaria is a part of “Let’s doit!” campaign. Last year we cleaned up 19,000tons of garbage.

The students from our school helped cleaning the school yard and surrounding area.

This year we are cleaning again on 20th of April together with Croatia, Ukraine and Mongolia!

Bulgaria also took part in the Thematic Regional Conference of the Balkan countries which was held in Slovenia this month.

Burgas is known to be one of the cleanest cities in our country. We have separate

collection bins on every street.

The city council is working on European projects for planting trees and creating bike

lanes all over the city.

In order to reduce air pollution, the city council is going to offer a rent-a-bike system, so more

people will stop using their cars.

This year we took part in cleaning the city and we used the gathered materials for

making some useful stuff

How to recycle old materials

A few days ago I found this old T-shirt

And I decided to do something new and special with it!

Some old friends of mine helped me using the scissors and a hot-glue gun,

stretch the cuts and make a knot

put some beads, make a flower and…

Look at it! Isn’t it marvellous?

With my hand-made scarf

and my favourite T-shirt with my

granny’s buttons on it

I can wear it this way and that way

We found some carton rolls from toilet paper

and made this gorgeous thing

Then we used some cotton wool and made it colourful

I cut a plate and made a small table

We felt like paintersand created a new vase from a bottle.
