LETHAL DOSE (LD50)
A single dose of material, which, on the basis of laboratory tests, is expected to kill 50%
of a group of test animals The LD50 is expressed as milligrams or grams per
kilogram of animal body weight

Acetone – 750 ppm over 8 hour period or 1000 ppm for short term limit
Benzene- 1 ppm over 8 hour period or 5 ppm for short term limitVinyl Chloride -1 ppm over 8 hour period or 5 ppm not to exceed 15 minutes
THRESHOLD LIMIT VALUE TIME-WEIGHTED AVERAGE (TLV-TWA)
The allowable concentration for a normal 8 hour workday or a 40 hour week
A level to which it is believed a worker can be exposed day after day for a working lifetime without adverse health effects
