Terms of Sale:

1. Each lot is offered for direct sale as priced – this is not an auction so no bidding will take

place.

2. All items are priced and sold in US dollars.

3. All lots are sold on a first-come first-serve basis.

4. Please quote the reference number(s) and corresponding price(s) for any items of interest

and email to: nvkstamps@hotmail.com. Alternatively, requests can be mailed to the address

below.

5. Confirmation of availability and a corresponding invoice will be sent within two (2) days of

receipt of any requests.

6. Additional charge for Postage and shipping will be added and detailed in the invoice. Sales

over $100 will be sent via registered mail or DHL courier or as agreed with the buyer.

7. Payment options: Paypal; US, UK or Australian Cheque; or Direct Deposit to US, UK or

Australian bank (details will be provided with invoice).

8. NVK Stamps warrants all sales and will accept returns (no questions asked) within two

weeks of receipt of the lots and will refund the purchase price and associated postage costs.

Where notified within two (2) weeks of the purchase time, extended returns are allowed on

items being forwarded for expertising (where expertising costs are to be borne by the buyer).

In the event a lot returns a negative certificate, NVK Stamps will only refund in full the

purchase price and postage charges related to that specific lot. Refunds will take place

immediately on receipt of any returned lot(s).

9. A copy of the Private Treaty Sales will be available to view on the NVK Website

(www.nvkstamps.com) and will be regularly updated to reflect lots that have been sold.

PTS2-01. Scott #10. 5 Cuartos stamp B/4, used with Bulacan Official Cancel, split across stamps horizontally. Block shows four types of this issue. Heavy thin on reverse just showing through on top left stamp. Some manuscript (pen) markings present. Lovely show piece and scarce official usage.

PTS2-02. Scott #10a. 5 Cuartos stamp Right Marginal B/4, used with Indistinct Large Official Cancel, nicely struck almost centrally across the stamps. Some lined manuscript (pen) markings, commonly found of official usage. Vibrant colour and sound overall condition. Used multiples for this issue are scarce and seldom offered so fine.

PTS2-06. Scott #72-75. Two Sets of the UPU Overprints (small and large types). Mint (#72-74 NG, HR & #75 OG, HR). Good to fine condition for this issue. Some blunt perfs noted, commonly found on these stamps. Decent overprints (often found partially missing). A very difficult set to assemble in mint condition. Scott Cat Value $807.

PTS2-08. Scott #52, 55, 58, 73 (x2). 5 Perfins, all used. #52 and #58 with SB&Co (Smith Bell and Company) perfin; #55 and #73 with RR&Ca (Roxas Reyes and Company) perfin. Odd minor faults noted but does not take away from the scarcity of these stamps. Priced at $85 each. Very seldom offered.

PTS2-11. Scott #127. 1r with Habilitado Para Correos Overprint Inverted. Mint (OG, HR). Base stamp centred bottom right. Good colour but slight foxing due to disturbed gum on reverse. Decent overprint strike. A very scarce stamp and missing in a lot of collections. Scott Cat Value $350.

PTS2-13. Scott #Y2. 2c Correos Aguinaldo Issue in used B/4. Centrally struck triangular Correos Cancel (double strike, with first with light ink). Good colour on base stamps. A very fine looking item. Cannot vouch for the authenticity of the cancel so sold 'as is'.

PTS2-14. Scott #Y2. 2c Correos Issue, Left Marginal B/16 with four complete strikes of 'Presidencia de Kingwa / Bulacan' circular cancels (Kingwa is now known as Plaridel). Comprising four complete blocks of four. Bottom right stamp with bottom corner ding and minor ding on top left of first stamp, otherwise generally fine condition. A magnificent piece and a great addition to any Aguinaldo Collection.

The genuine overprints only occurred on six values of the 1898 series. Excellent reference group. Generally fine overall condition.

PTS2-17. Scott #U8. Used PSE from Manila to New Jersey, USA. Cancelled with Mil. Sta. No1 – December 1, 1899 duplex ('99' year date was applied inverted). Soldier’s Letter with Rectangular Boxed ‘US Government Employee Mail’ handstamp on top. Sender was attached to the Macabebe Scouts. Rare cover with scarce markings. January 13, 1900 receiving backstamp. Some minor toning noted on front for accuracy.

PTS2-26. 2c Guerrilla Postal Service Stamp in full sheet of 20 with four intact margins. Mint (OG, NH). Very fresh colour and pristine overall condition. Some slight foxing noted around the edges not affecting stamps. Very scarce and only a few full sheets are known to exist. Very sought after issue. A rare opportunity to acquire one of the gems of the US Period.

PTS2-27. 2c Guerrilla Postal Service Cover addressed to El Paso, Texas, USA. Stamp tied with crisp 'Posted in the Free Philippines / 21 December 1943 / M.D. No. 10 / Mindanao Guerrilla Area' oval cancel in purples. Additional purple oval 'Tenth Military Dist / Censored / Free Philippines' handstamp below. Small boxed handstamp on bottom left stating 'We Depend Upon Gen. MacArthur’s Pledge to Return'. Very clean for this issue, with a few other covers not as fine. Very scarce and only a few covers known to exist.

PTS2-28. Inbound Prisoner of War Cover from Marlborough, Wiltshire, England, addressed to Miss Winnie Chun, British Civilian Internee at Santo Tomas Camp. With 31 January 1944 Machine Cancel and Customs Examiner tape on left. Letter included with Japanese Censor chop. Clean cover and generally fine condition.

PTS2-29. Manila Internment Camp Punched Meal Ticket dated July 1944 (No. 542). Used by Winifred Chun (same correspondent to PTS2-28 above). With handstamp of Santa Catalina Hospital on reverse and by the Business Manager. Fine condition for this given it was a card used daily for a full month. Scarce and very seldom offered. Great historical piece.
