The Process:All the information gathered is stored in a database.

The parameters are assigned weights.

A total factored weight is determined for each initiative.

The initiatives are prioritized by weight.

The process begins by selecting “Go to Main Menu”


The Main Menu is “home base” all activities start and return here


The first step is to set up parametersdescribing the company.

Select “SETUP”


Selecting STRATEGIES opens the process to enter the Company’s strategies


The company strategies and their relative priority are entered here.


Business Drivers and their priority (or weight)…


Departments and Project Sponsors…


The RESOURCES Screen is a bit more complex. It covers staff and financial resources for all projects

Here we collect information regardingthe starting time frame, the number of hours worked, how much capital is allocated to all projects, how much expense funding will be allocated to all projects, and the overall staffing profile for the company.


STAFFING PROFILE is accessed here.


The STAFFING PROFILE lists positions,the number of each type, and the average hourly

cost for each position.


At the end of the setup process the parameters are stored in the database.


Enter the individual projects (also called initiatives) from the main menu.


Individual project information is entered either directlyor from drop-down menus using information

entered in SETUP


For example, when selecting a strategy, the list displays the list entered earlier
