UPWARD SOCCER REGISTRATION. Openings remain for all ages; age 4 through 8th grade. Forms can be found in the church office, wel-come desk, information center, Family Life Center and on the recreation web site at www.fbcdouglasvillerec.org. Don’t be left out, register early. Fees are $90. Save time on evaluation day by registering early. Practices will begin the week of August 3rd. Volunteer coaches, officials and game day concession workers are needed. Please contact Mark Cagiano if you would like to assist.

COACHES NEEDED. We are in need of both head and assistant soccer coaches for all ages 4 through 8th grades. High school students and all adults may coach. Please contact Mark Cagiano if you are interested. CONCESSIONS VOLUNTEERS NEEDED. We are in desperate need of people to volunteer to work/manage our concession stand during the couple of hours we have sport Saturdays. It’s one of the things the players and parents like most about our sports and helps raise funds for the recreation ministry. Please see Mark Cagiano if you are interested.

IMPACT CHEERLEADING Team practices begin on August 3rd. Each team will practice twice per week as seen below. As this is a competition team, attendance at all practices is critical. The team will be learning cheers, dance, tumbling and stunting in order to learn a routine that will be used in Saturday Christian Cheer competitions from October through early January.

With school starting, it’s time to begin sign ups for Upward Basketball and Cheerleading. Forms will be mailed to last year’s participants during August. Forms are available in the recreation office or from our website under Upward Sports. Boys and girls in grades 1 through 8 may play basketball while girls in grades 1 through 8 may participate in Upward Cheerleading. Additional registration forms are available in the Church Welcome Center, office and in the Family Life Center.
