Page 2: Proposed Pitch

We have decided that for our trailer we will

create and film a number of different scenarios

and scenes based around a storyline of an Alien

virus, and a general horror/sci-fi/ thriller film.

The storyline for the film being about an alien

Invasion, with the aliens infecting the human

species, resulting in them becoming some kind

of alien, as well as the original aliens feeding of

the human race.

Page 3: Proposed Pitch

News Report – About an alien invasion, and

that they’re infecting the human race

Characters – A group of characters, no more

than 3, walk, stumble upon an infected human by a

stream, by a wooded area – Then one character

mentions/ remembers the news report – The rest

of the film is around these 3 characters and their

battle for survival, we will film number of different

possible scenes and decide which ones to include

in the trailer.

Page 4: Proposed Pitch

Aliens – We plan to have a character styled as

an alien, however not a full body, we will only

use makeup on the face or arms of a character,

that way we can use close up shots of the aliens

arm, or face so viewer only has a basic idea of

what the aliens are, and what they look like.

Page 5: Proposed Pitch

We plan to make the majority of the

trailer quite fast paced and will use straight

cuts and crosscutting to create a flow to

the trailer, we will also make the news

report appear ‘fuzzy’ and ‘lack of signal’ to

make it appear more real and that there is a

world ‘crisis’ and ‘danger’

Page 6: Proposed Pitch

With the characters, and when then discover the

body of a victim of the aliens, we will use a number of

close up shots of their faces, and to show they are in

horror, and confused about what they’re seeing,

However the first shot of the characters will be an

establishing long shot, so the viewer can clearly see the

environment they’re in and all of the characters, and

showing that they are happy and unaware of what they

are about to see.

Our chosen target audience is 15 to 19 year

olds, and after researching into what they want

and what they find the most captivating about

a teaser trailer
