We’ve combined Queens Academy and Ntec to offer a full range of quality programmes to help you find the right employment or set you up for further study.
We are a “whanaungatanga” – an extended family that gives each member a sense of belonging – and you will become a valuable member of that family. It takes all sorts to make a family, and that’s why we foster multicultural understanding and celebrate diversity.
You will work with a great team of teachers who love what they do, and who strive to make your study experience rich, enjoyable and successful.
As an international student, Aspire2 International has everything you need – language and study support, plus employment support during and after your study is completed.

Choose Aspire2 International – here’s why:
Teachers who make a differenceLaunching or extending a valuable career begins with a positive, engaging study experience. Whatever path you are taking, that’s just what you will get by working with our dedicated and talented teachers, and enjoying our welcoming campuses.
Campuses in exciting locationsOur campuses are in some of New Zealand’s most vibrant cities, just a step from shopping malls, restaurants and theatres. In Auckland, for instance, you can stroll down to the waterfront. If you’re an international student, being in the middle of a bustling city will also give you many opportunities to practise your English.
Not only that, you will have everything you need to learn and succeed. We work with employers in each location so you have every chance to launch or extend your career as part of your studies.
Study for real jobs in real industriesAll our programmes have a practical focus. Everything you learn will give you the skills to work in your chosen career. We work closely with industry partners to ensure that what we are teaching is what they are looking for when you graduate. Throughout your study, you will gain insights into real industries through hearing talks by our industry partners.
Our English language programmes and our range of diplomas and certificates are based on up-to-date techniques and knowledge, and in line with industry standards. We work with the New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA) and industry leaders to keep our curriculum fresh and relevant.
Life at Aspire2 International isn’t all hard work – learning a new language, new concepts or new ideas can be tiring. It’s good to balance that work with plenty of fun, and that’s why we organise activities to encourage you to mingle with other students and, if you’re coming from overseas, to experience Kiwi life.
Counselling and supportWhether you are studying a long way from home or in your home city, sometimes you might need someone to talk to. Feeling relaxed and enjoying your learning experience is a large part of your success, so we have counsellors to help you sort out any problems – in your first language.
An up-to-date range of study
Time for work and play
Help into employmentThe Aspire2 Work team are dedicated to helping you find work – whether that is
part time work while you study, or full time work in your holidays or when you have
completed your studies.

Quote from Aleksandr“I initially just came to Ntec for a short English language programme but I liked the environment so much I decided to stay on for further studies. Studying here is quite different from studying in Russia! I really enjoyed my Diploma studies, especially the marketing segment and the final projects. I learned a lot of business skills and also deepened my understanding of living in New Zealand, how to get a job here, and how to talk to people. My tutors were very supportive, and so too were the careers team. They helped me tailor my CV to the New Zealand job market, which in turn helped me find a great job.”
“When I first came to New Zealand I was just doing casual work through Events, but then I found a part-time job at Nando’s. I started out as a dishwasher but after three months I was promoted to Shift Supervisor. After graduating from Ntec I went full-time at Nando’s and was soon promoted to my current role of Assistant Manager.”
Quote from Ruchita“I was at Ntec both as a student, and later as a tutor for Level 5 & 7, and there were so many highlights! In the final term of my programme I won the top project award for the web application that I’d developed, which was a real thrill. I also had a lot of fun and thrived in the encouraging and supportive Ntec environment. Whenever I needed support Ntec was there for me.”
“The career support I received from Aspire2 Work was fabulous. They helped me modify my CV, organised visits to IT companies, prepped me for interviews, and taught me how to respond properly to emails. They helped me build confidence with my job seeking, and put my name forward for several employment opportunities. In fact they referred me for my current role as a Web Developer for Global Tax! From here I want to learn as much as I can in order to build my skills and become a successful web developer, and an integral part of an IT company here in New Zealand.”

Hear What Our Students Say

What Our Employers Have to Say?
Since March 2016 we have been inducting hospitality students from Aspire2
International. The students have attended an induction with us, successfully attending our Ice Events Workplace Training.
For the students whom have been successful in the training we have offered a contract with Ice Events for Casual Temp roles with our clients.
We have a wide range of clients that we look after who request staff from us to help them cater their VIP events.
The students we have from Aspire2 International have been absolutely wonderful. We have found them to have good communication skills, good attendance and punctual with fantastic personal presentation.
The students are very driven to learn more in the industry and they enjoy their employment opportunities as they get to work events in at least 3 different premises.
Ice Events appreciates the relationship we have with Aspire2 International and we look forward to more students joining us in the future.

Fonefix Limited has been involved with the Aspire2 Work programme for the past 2 years. We’ve
found the programme to suit our needs very well, enabling us to bring suitably qualified internship candidates into our business for a 3 month period, which benefits both Fonefix and the intern. Some interns have successfully moved into full employment with us, others have moved onto other opportunities, having gained valuable practical experience in the technology industry.
The program is well managed with formal agreements and reporting in place, providing plenty of opportunity for 2-way feedback related to a specific candidate’s progress, and occasional meetings to enable programme feedback and improvement.

Key Information for International Students
Health Services EligibilityMost international students are not entitled to publicly funded health services while in New Zealand. If you receive medical treatment during your visit, you may be liable for the full costs of that treatment. Full details on entitlements to publicly-funded health services are available through the Ministry of Health, and can be viewed on their website at www.moh.govt.nz
Accident InsuranceThe Accident Compensation Corporation provides accident insurance for all New Zealand citizens, residents and temporary visitors to New Zealand, but you may still be liable for all other medical and related costs. Further information can be viewed on the ACC website at www.acc.co.nz
Medical and Travel InsuranceInternational students must have appropriate and current medical and travel insurance while studying in New Zealand. We can arrange students’ insurance through OrbitProtect (for more information go to www.orbitprotect.co.nz).
Alternatively, students can arrange their own insurance, and they must provide proof of suitable insurance at the time of enrolment. Please contact the Student Administrator for more information on insurance.
If you have any questions about OrbitProtect insurance, or if you wish to make a claim once the policy is in force, OrbitProtect can be contacted on:
0800 478 833 or 0800 4 STUDENT if you’re in New Zealand or +64 3 434 8151 (Reverse Charge) if you’re outside New Zealand.
Student VisasInternational students are required to have a valid student visa during their stay in New Zealand. Once you have received an Offer of Place from us and you have paid your tuition fees, you should apply for a student visa from your nearest Immigration New Zealand office (contact the New Zealand Embassy or High Commission for details).
Pastoral CareWe have agreed to observe and be bound by the Code of Practice for the Pastoral Care of International Students. Copies of the Code are available on request from Ntec or from the NZQA website at www.nzqa.govt.nz
Recognition of Prior LearningIf you already have other tertiary qualifications or previous work experience, you may be granted credit exemptions and may complete your qualification in a shorter time.
We will be happy to discuss this with you before or after enrolment.

Student Fee Protection
The New Zealand Government requires that all New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA) registered Private Training Establishments must protect all student fees paid to them in advance. We are registered for Fee Protect through The Public Trust, which has an unsecured capital guarantee from the New Zealand Government. (For further information visit www.feeprotect.co.nz)
This means that in the unlikely event that we are unable to complete the programme in which you are enrolled (this could be because of closure, insolvency, loss of NZQA accreditation or programme withdrawal), the remainder of your student fees (including accommodation and living expenses if paid in advance) will be protected. You will have the choice of receiving any remaining fees back or having them paid directly to an alternative education provider.
Student Fee Protection, Withdrawals and Refunds
1. If a student withdraws (i.e. stops attending class) from any of our programmes, they must notify the CEO in writing. The date of withdrawal is the date that we receive written notification of the withdrawal. The programme start date is defined as the published start date of the programme. See our website for details.
2. a) Programmes thirteen weeks or more duration:
i. Withdrawal within the first ten working days of the programme: If the student withdraws from the programme within the first ten working days, they will receive a full refund of any payments, less a deduction of up to 25% for costs already incurred.
ii. Withdrawal after the first ten working days of the programme: No refunds are provided after the first ten working days of the programme.
b) Programmes of 5 to 12 weeks duration: iii. Withdrawal within the first 5 days of the programme: If the student withdraws from the programme within the first five days they will receive a 75% refund of all fees paid by them.
c) Programmes of less than 5 weeks duration:
iv. Withdrawal within the first 2 days of the programme: If the student withdraws from the programme within the first two days they will receive a 50% refund of all fees paid by them. If two days constitutes the full amount of tuition paid for by the student no refund is payable.
d) All programmes:
Students who withdraw before the programme commences will also be subject to the above criteria. That is, they will be entitled to a refund less any amounts allowed to be retained as noted as above.
3. Students who have already received their laptop (which is included in their resource fee), will not receive a full refund of their resource fee if they subsequently withdraw from their programme, and will be able to keep the laptop.
4. If a student is not granted a student visa or an extension of their student visa a full refund of their unused fees will be made.
5. Refunds will be processed within 5 working days of the withdrawal process being formally approved, will be paid in New Zealand dollars, and will go to the person or organisation that paid the fees, not necessarily the student.
6. An international student who obtains permanent residency, while studying on a student visa, will not receive a refund of fees for the remainder of the academic year in which residency is granted. However, they will be treated as a New Zealand permanent resident for the following years and will be subject to domestic fees for the remainder of their study.
7. If the student is expelled from the programme, it is unlikely that any refund will be made.
8. These regulations may be varied in exceptional circumstances that are beyond the control of the student (such as medical or compassionate circumstances). Variation is at the discretion of the CEO.
9. Immigration New Zealand will be informed of all information which affects the status of a student permit or visa.
Student Withdrawals and Fee Refunds
Our fee refund policy is in accordance with the Education Act 1989 and amendments, and applies to international and domestic students.
