You will need…
● Yarn Color A (Red Heart Super Saver Solids in Bright Yellow) ● Yarn Color B (Red Heart Super Saver Solids in Carrot) ● Fiberfill Stuffing ● Yarn Needle ● Size D 3.25mm or desired crochet hook ● 6mm safety eyes ● Stitch Markers ● Sewing needles (optional) If you would like to use them to hold things in place before

● Ch chain ● Sl slip stitch ● Sc single crochet ● St stitch ● Sts stitches ● Rpt repeat ● Inc increase, 2 sc in the same space ● Dec decrease or sc2tog (single crochet 2 together)
Note : All pieces are made in a continuous spiral. Most pieces begin with a magic ring, but you can also use a ch 2 to start. Head & Body
● With Yarn Color A Rnd 1 ~ Using a magic ring, place 6 sc into the magic ring Rnd 2 ~ inc around (12 sc) Rnd 3 ~ sc in 3, inc / rpt around (15 sc) Rnds 46 ~ sc around (15 sc) Rnd 7 ~ [sc in 5, inc twice] 2 times, sc in the last st (19 sc)
● These increases make the cheeks Rnd 8 ~ sc around (19 sc) Rnd 9 ~ [sc in 5, dec twice] 2 times, sc in the last st (15 sc)
● Insert safety eyes between Rnds 5 & 6 Rnd 10 ~ sc in 3, dec / rpt around (12 sc)
● Stuff head, keep stuffing as you crochet along Rnd 11 ~ sc in 2, dec / rpt around (9 sc) Rnd 12 ~ sc, dec / rpt around (6 sc) Rnd 13 ~ inc around ( 12 sc) Rnd 14 ~ sc around (12 sc) Rnd 15 ~ sc in 3, inc / rpt around (15 sc) Rnd 16 ~ sc around (15 sc) Rnd 17 ~ sc in 4, inc / rpt around (18 sc) Rnds 18 21 ~ sc around (18 sc) Rnd 22 ~ sc, dec / rpt around (12 sc) Rnd 23 ~ dec around (6 sc)

Beak
● With Yarn Color B Rnd 1 ~ Using a magic ring, place 4 sc into the magic ring Rnd 2 ~ inc around (8 sc) Rnds 34 ~ sc around (8 sc) Rnd 5 ~ incomplete round inc 3 times, sl.
● Fasten off, leaving a long tail. ● The 3 increases on Rnd 5 are the top of the beak. ● Stuff lightly. ● Using your yarn needle, sew the beak on the head.
Wings ● With Yarn Color A ● Do not stuff
Rnd 1 ~ Using a magic ring, place 6 sc into the magic ring Rnd 2 ~ inc around (12 sc) Rnds 35 ~ sc around (12 sc) Rnd 6 ~ sc, dec / rpt around (8 sc) Rnd 7 ~ sc in 2, dec / rpt around (6 sc) Rnds 810 ~ sc around (6 sc) Rnd 11 ~ Ch 1, fold arm in half and crochet through both sides at the same time (3 sc)
● Fasten off leaving a long tail. ● Sew onto the body right under the head.
Feet & Legs
● With Yarn Color B Rnd 1 ~ Using a magic ring, place 6 sc into the magic ring Rnd 2 ~ inc around (12 sc) Rnd 3 ~ sc around (12 sc) Rnd 4 ~ dec 4 times, sc in 4 (8 sc) Stuff foot, do not stuff the rest of the leg. Rnd 5 ~ dec 2 times, sc in 2 Change to Yarn Color A sc in 2 (6 sc)
● You are now done using Yarn Color B Rnds 68 ~ sc around (6 sc)
● Before folding in half, make sure your foot is in the right direction. You may need to add 12 sc sts to put your foot in the right position.
Rnd 9 ~ Ch 1, fold leg in half and crochet through both sides at the same time (3 sc) ● Fasten off leaving a long tail. ● Sew onto the bottom of the body.
To give Puddles some hair, you can use 2 leftover tails. Fold in half, with your yarn hook pull about half way through. Pull the tails through the loop very tightly, tie a knot to make his hair stay.
