The target audience for my magazine was people aged between 16-30 year old Christians. I chose this age group because I wanted to make my magazine modern and formal but not too formal; this age group would suite that the best. The social group that I was aiming for was Christians.

Question 2How does your media product represent particular social groups?

Front Cover

Subject : The subject on the front of the cover is myself. I posed in a way that was engaging and appealing. I did this because I wanted the magazine to appeal to my audience. The clothing that I chose to wear is colour coordinated to show the professional and fashionable side of the magazine. This was more for the younger readers saw the magazine for the first time and they saw the subject dressed in a fashionable way, then they would want to see what else is included in the magazine. The overall image of the subject represents the social groups of people that are into Rap, RnB, Hip Hop etc. simply because that is the way the artists of those genres would dress.

Mis-en-scene : I used mainly Red, White and Gold on this cover because I thought that made a nice combination. All of the individual elements of the cover have been colour according to each other in order to maintain a successful house style.

Text : The text that I used throughout my front cover is modern and appealing. For different parts of the magazine I used different fonts and sizes but whilst doing so I made sure that they all corresponded well together.

Contents Page

• Subject : The subject on the contents page isn’t facing the reader. I did this because it wanted the page to look different; I wanted a different style of picture, so I made the subject look in a different direction. The I mage still looks appealing nevertheless and I think my target audience would think so too. The youthful type social group is carried on through to this page; the subject is dressed in a modern and fashionable way; this would appeal to the audience

• Mis-en-scene: The subject is purposely wearing clothes that match perfectly with other elements on the page. Doing this enabled me to keep a a fairly strict colour scheme. This perhaps highlights the fashionable side of the magazine

Double Page

• Mis-en-scene : The same style of colouring is kept for this page; there is a lot of “Red” a bit of blue. The colours all suggest that the target s
