Distributers

A distributor is a company who is in charge of the film’s PR. It determines when the film is to be released in

cinemas and on DVD and Blu-Ray. It is also in charge of how the film is to distributed e.g. theatres or straight to

DVD etc. The distributor can do this directly if it owns the theatres or distributing network otherwise it can do it

through theatrical exhibitors and other sub-distributors.

Warner Bros. Pictures

• Our first distributor we decided to use was Warner Bros. Pictures as they are famous for a wide range of genres but specifically action films e.g. The Matrix, Harry Potter and Terminator

• To show that they are a distributor of our film we have included their credit clip at the start of our film

Legendary Pictures

• Our other distributor is Legendary Pictures, much like Warner Bros. Pictures, Legendary distribute many action based films e.g. The Dark Knight and Pacific Rim.

• We have also added their credit clip into our opening sequence.
