Responses from FacebookI posted my music magazine on an online social website to see what feedback I would get from people and how their opinions would help me answer this question. I can say that I was very pleased with the responses and they have given me confidence that I have attracted the buyers.

How did you attract/address your audience?

• Firstly I shall begin with discussing my front cover and how I addressed my audience. The pastel colours which I have used are to attract my young readers; the pinks and blues and creams are all common colours which you will relate and see in a young girl’s conventional magazine structure. The models are all around the similar age group of conventional pop stars which appeals to my target audience – the models are aged around 18 years old and dressed as pop stars would. My magazine is reasonably priced and will attract the young audience to buy it.

How did you attract/address your audience?

• My contents page is very similar to the Top of the Pops style, and you can tell this as well. I have kept the colour scheme which I planned throughout and all of the stories listed are suitable for my audience. I have only used one model on this page because I felt that the text boxes were working well so added more of them which limited my space for only one picture. The text is short sentences which will appeal to the young audiences.

• Now my double page spread took a long time to get right because I had to get the space equal. In the middle I added the spiky bubble to fill in the large gap and to introduce the whole story. I think my audience will like how these two pages are laid out because the title is in the large multicoloured boxes and the models fit there nicely. It follows the rest of my magazine nicely and the article is lots of fun facts and then question and answers which are found in conventional teenage magazines.
