The Koran was believed to be a delivered to Muhammad by the angel Gabriel in 610 CE to 632 CE.

It is believed that Muhammad’s companions wrote all of the teachings down and standardized everything twenty one years after his death 653CE.

That you should follow all of the past prophets who preached God’s Will and the true word of Islam. To follow old laws and scriptures such as the Old Testament.

The natural pure human state of the soul, which is already in tune with the teachings of God, but may have deviated from the path.

God’s constant presence and that we can hide nothing. He is everywhere.

Mankind – this is referring to us or usually referring to universal teachings. (ex. O children of Adam)

Believers – Muslims and followers of the faith

People of the book – Used to characterize Jews and Christians.

Hypocrites – When referred to, usually to warn us of the hereafter if/when we shun God.

Rejecters of the faith – often referred to as infidels and Kafirs.

The Reader- Koran is almost a self help book and often asks of you many questions. Ex. “Then which of the favors of you Sustainer will you deny?”
