The 3rd CAMMSE Summer Camp on Transportation Engineering was held from June 10 to 14 at UNC

Charlotte. This edition of the camp had 23 participants from grade 9 to 11 with 31% of the campers

being females. The camp is a full day camp that ran from 9 to 4 pm every day. Activities included:

- What is a civil engineer

- What is a structural engineer

- Pedestrian bridge activity

- Modes of Transportation interactive activity

- Freight activity

- Balsa wood construction and testing week-long competition.

- Geometric road design week-long competition.

- Surveying activity

- Materials lecture and lab testing activity

- Field trip to Charlotte airport

- Field trip to traffic control facility

- Transportation safety activity

- Driving simulator activity

- Environment and water quality testing activity
