Children will havecollected these and talk about why peoplemight or might not feel like this in thegraveyard.- Can children expresstheir ideas andreason/justify them?Main activity forthe day (25minutes)Mixed-ability groups of five/six childrentake an iPad and video each otherspeaking about their emotions theyexperience in the graveyard. Those whoare less confident with expressing theirfeelings can use the sentence starter: Inthe graveyard, I feel _____. This is because______.After this, they will come back to the class,and show their videos. Videos will beuseful as those children who would notusually want to talk about their feelings infront of the class and still give acontribution but through a video insteadof face-to-face with their peers.- Can childrenunderstand theemotions themselvesand their peers feel inthe graveyard?- Can children identifydifferent emotions?End activity toconsolidateknowledge(5 minutes)Discuss and reflect on their learning andhow their emotions have changed anddiffered during the day. The teachershould also introduce the idea that somechildren and adults view death in adifferent way; some religions see it as areincarnation this can be continued inthe next lesson.Can children discussdifferent peoples andreligious groupsfeelings about death?
