After a busy holiday week, the total cash, coin and checks collected by Rebuild Hi-Tor tabling events was a whopping $4,134! In addition to the monetary donations, volunteers obtained over 150 bags of dog and cat food, paper towels, bleach, dog biscuits, towels, blankets, pillows, dog bowls and more. The three locations that helped generate this fantastic amount were PetSmart in Nanuet, Shop Rite of Pearl River and the Palisades Mall.

It was truly an outpouring of community support. Email addresses were gathered as generous folks

swooped up the brick paver and information forms, until there were none left! Several donation buckets were given to families who wanted to “adopt a business” (find out how you can adopt a business later in this newsletter!)

The volunteers who dedicated their time and energy to these recent tabling events were truly appreciated. And what a huge difference they made for Rebuild Hi-Tor!

To help out at any of our tabling events, see the info on page 5 of this newsletter.

Hi-Tor will be tabling at PetSmart in Nanuet every weekend in December. In January, visit us at the Palisades Mall, Shop Rite in Pearl River, Pathmark in Nanuet, and Petsmart in Nanuet. This list will grow as plans to expand across Rockland are developed.

MORE DINING EVENTS HELP TO SUPPORT THE REBUILD

Caesar’s Restaurant GrillThe dining at Caesar’s grill Restaurant on November 13th was excellent and raised a nice amount for Rebuild Hi-Tor! Fourteen guests from the County board of Health, including Rockland County Health Commissioner Dr. Joan Facelle, attended specifically for Hi-Tor. Hi-Tor volunteers were there to answer questions, promote Rebuild and show how invaluable our county’s shelter is to our community. Restaurant guests Peter and liz Napoli came to eat at Caesar’s not even knowing about the fundraiser taking place and generously put $100 cash into our bucket! We look forward to meeting many more caring friends of Hi-Tor like the Napolis at our upcoming dining events.

Thank you to everyone who came out for a treat at 16 Handles to support Rebuild Hi-Tor! Special thanks to lenny Nathan for setting it up.

CALLING ALL ANIMAL-LOVING FAMILIES!

request a “donation bucket” from hi-tor or just make your own! Please contact volunteer@ rebuildhitor.org or visit our website for more info. collect the money from your bucket on a weekly or bi-weekly basis and send the check to hi-tor.

What a great and easy way to help rockland’s pets in need, while also supporting your local businesses!

Are you looking for a fun and easy way for your whole family to volunteer together? We are asking families to come together and “adopt buckets” at local businesses. It’s a great way for kids to get started in working for a cause – and it couldn’t be easier! Just choose a favorite local business (or two!) where you’d like to place a bucket – then collect the money on a weekly or bi-weekly basis and write a check to Hi-Tor. Kids will love getting involved and counting the money that they helped raise! What a terrific way to get into the holiday spirit and help the animals who need us more than ever.

Won’t you please “adopt a bucket”? It’s a great (and easy!) way for your whole family to help Rebuild Hi-tor.

IF YOU’vE PLAcED A BUcKET, AND YOU DON’T

SEE THAT BUSINESS LISTED ON OUR WEBSITE,

PLEASE LET US KNOW! Participating businesses are advertised on our website: www.rebuildhitor.org
